I own 3 of them all side by side so they share light from each other.

You are not, I bought these:
https://www.amazon.com/Aerogarden...07SGB52DT/

And then when shopping for seeds, look for dwarf/hydroponic variants. I had the best luck with those over the years.

These are hands down the best tomato plants I've ever grown.

The prices are so inflated to show discount. $80 is the regular price on these. No one is paying $165

easiest way is to order one and use your old receipt to return it

If you did order it last week at $79.99, I was able to get it price matched very quickly using the "Price or Promotion Adjustment" category on their online messaging portal.

I feel the same way. I almost got one at $80 but presumed that was a normal market price (i.e., what the market would bear). So now the question is:

Is this thing worth $65 or not?

Can someone who owns one chime in? Please??

I've never gardened so I'm not sure about whether the size of these and what they produce is worth it for the yield or do people have these mainly for fun/hobby?

I found this article about monthly power usage from their site which is pretty good info to have.

https://www.aerogarden.com/blog/h...arden-use/

EDIT: I looked up the size of the different models because of the energy usage article and found this Youtube video showing the Aerogarden farm(NOT the one in this deal), and at the end it shows a family with like 5 of those things stacked right behind their kitchen table. Are people really using this many? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCA3CbJ2f_g

Can you use these with tomatoes? I have seen the tomato pods somewhere but don't really know much about these - considering buying as a gift for a friend who loves to garden but has to deal with cold winters

From what I have gathered, this model is not ideal for tomatoes, or other taller plants (peppers, etc.), as it has a max height of 12 inches. The Aerogarden Bounty models would be better with a 24" max height for growing tomatoes.

^ This!

I swear my friend bought it for $65 last year. Macy is known for inflating prices. I think it hurts their marketing more than it helps.

Submitted for a price adjustment. The website says 10 days so if you bought it last week you should get on it asap. I don't know why it's 10 days when clearly the return period is longer but here we are...

I use an Aerogarden Harvest 360. Should I use all 6 slots or leave some empty for this tomato variety?

i bought this same exact model from macy's last time. It's the most simple seed germination process with an incredible germination rate. I use park seed plugs instead of aerogarden and buy my own lettuce.

only problem with this kit is it's too small to take lettuce to full size. I have a separate container where i move the seedlings to after 2 weeks in the aerogarden. I've done many head to head tests, and the seedlings that start in the aerogarden have superior root structure to the ones i start in dwc. within 3-4 weeks, if you try to plant all 6 pods, they will begin to shade each other and look pretty bad.

i'm not sure if the cost is justified, but it's nice to have 3 heads of lettuce ready to go in my house at anytime.
