Arm and disarm your alarm however you like. If you forget to arm, you can get a Remind Me alert. Nest Detect sensors look out for doors, rooms and windows. The built-in Google Assistant can help you manage tasks, get answers and control your home. With the free Nest app, you can check in anytime. -slickdewmaster

some ideas for ppl who are buying just for the sensors: ie they will have an extra guard unit
- buy starling hub and i believe both can be armed/disarmed together. someone mentioned if can be configured for both units to sound for any detection
- setup separate unit in basement to monitor the basement windows and have it always armed (since they generally would always be closed except for emergencies)
- use a google voice assistant for general queries (no music) and very quiet

for those who dont want to use as alarm, it will still give a beep when doors/windows open and close

Thanks OP, needed some sensors and this works out to $10 savings on each. Hopefully get at least a couple more years of Google support.
