The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

It was free for me. And still is. And I've been in a grandfathered plan for years. Didn't change mine. Aorry about yours.

are there any free line promos for an existing customer who would like to add a line but not port in a #?
The port in is for $100 bonus stack.
So, without port-in, you still can add this free line offer

This free line does not require a port in, the port in is optional (but you'd get a $100 rebate if you do).

I know you said it won't stack with some of the promos...but, I was going to trade in and get the iphone 12 mini on two other lines that I already have. Can I still do that and add a free line with another phone I already have?
Yes, just make sure you do not get the iPhone on the free line on EIP, because it will invalidate the free line and make it a regular paid line.

Military plan eligible?
Should be, Correction, probably not. Check the SOC list in the post and the link to find your own SOC.
Quote from chilipalm :
Can this be a free data line?
No, standard voice line only (as in, a phone line that has data).

I am on the TMO One plan, back in June when this offer came, I was told that I qualified and enjoyed the free line for a month and then they started charging me, I was told, I did not qualify.

I just checked my SOC code and this time I do qualify, will try calling them tomorrow to see if I really qualify

Got the 'free' line last time.
Still not using it.
Going to get this one as well.
Probably will not use it.
The old fashioned SD effect.

In the past, I have added my free lines via a phone call with TMO rep.
Is this something that can be done online or through the TMO app via text/chat?

Are Sprint customers excluded from this deal? I have one free line from a previous deal, hopefully I can add another.

Even if the rate is free, they charge taxes and fees on the free line so your bill goes up.

Edit: Assuming you are not on a rate plan that guarantees the taxes and fees are included.

So I have FRLTUL2LP which is basically 2 lines all in for $100 with the 20% insider discount that makes it $80. I added my girlfriend so now I have 3 lines for $120 after discount. Should I stay on it and keep missing out on these deals or change it?
