The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

Hmm so I'm trying to clarify here:

I'm on magenta plus 4 lines, (3rd line free) plus 20% insider hookup.

I can go to Costco, ask to add the "free line" (should we mention this discount promo?). I have a GV number to use for porting, so that qualifies for the 100 rebate and the 200 Costco rebate?

As for the device, I have an old iPhone 5s but is it still considered a qualified device to activate on Tmobile? Will they activate that?

Or can I buy a iPhone 12 pro max at Costco (no promos) just buy either outright or use regular EIP) and still get the 300 in rebates?

Can someone tell what are right steps to add free line via Costco for $200 rebate without messing up current promotions on your plan?

I would stay with T-force to add a line for me. The Costco guys are famous about messing up people plan. It will save me tons of time to fix it in the future...

This is huge, again...I think I can get one more. I have 4 paid and 3 free lines right now on my one plus promo plan. I thought I remember reading, this plan can have up to 8 lines total. Anyone know for sure?
Yes and 8 paid lines is optimal for auto pay.

I'd like to know this also. My wife started a new T-mo acct with insider discount. I want to cancel my T-mo acct and move to hers. Figuring I can port out my number to GV and link to the new 'free' number.

Is this the best way? Any help with the sequence of steps would be greatly appreciated. Not familiar w/ GV or snags to watch out for. Thx
I too would like to know about porting in a google voice number or if we should port the GV# first to another carrier then to TMO. Any help/direction is appreciated.

I know, it is a bit crazy. I'm still a noob too but I already have 3 free lines and will get my 4th with this promotion - but I'm paying $120 because I signed up just before the insider discounts started (or I was unaware of them at the time) - still happy with $20 a line after I add my 4th free one to my 2 paid lines of Magenta!
It is crazy, just joined 5 months ago today. Tomorrow I will have 2 paid lines, 4 free lines, and I even got them to manually add the 20% hookup last month. Net 6 for $96

Have you ever done at Costco? Do you know, if T-Mobile account name and Costco membership must match?
Your membership name and the carrier name can be different, no problem.

There is no kick back on a free line. You can't have a negative credit. You can switch to the new line and number and use it without the 2gb limit the kick back line has. That's what I did.

I have my family and me on T-Mobile (SimpleChoice grandfathered plan, 6 lines). What's the point/advantage in adding a free line? In case we add something like a tablet or a smartwatch?

I doubt you have a Kickback for any free lines from this year, because credit is applied at line level not account level.

this is the best way, after 90 days you can port into your wife's free line because it takes 90 days for a number to no longer be recognized as a previous tmobile number.

Did they mess-up any promotions etc., or was it a change?
