The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

Wow, that's a pretty big negative regarding the free number. I was unaware. If I port my parents to my TMobile account free lines and then they want to go to Verizon one day, the can't take their numbers?
They can but you lose the free line. Because as I know all carriers treat port out as line cancellation.

And never will be. I'm in the same boat as you and somehow t-mobile believes this plan is the end all be all of plans and you are the luckiest person in the world to be getting such a good deal when there are clearly others paying $80 for 10 lines getting Netflix for free, etc etc etc. And I'm extremely skeptical of anyone on that plan that says it took some trying but they added it. Because in a week or two they all come crying back here with sob stories of how t-mobile switched their rate plan to make it happen. I've just resigned myself to never being able to get a free line so long as I keep the plan.
what is so good about the fruitlloops plan?

Lose the free line, not the phone number. That makes more sense.

Can you report back and let us know? I'm going to costco in an hour as well. I wonder how informed those CS at the booth are for this promo.
Delete. All good now. Plan qualifies.

T mobile chat rep is saying I can get the free line, 100 credit and the Samsung FE for $99. Do you think this is accurate or will it screw up my free line like the OP says?

To those that see $20/month charge like me when add a line. Here is a response I just went thru with a rep:

"Yes, $20.00 is what the normal price of that additional line would be. But with that promotion you will get a monthly bill credit of $20.00 to cover the cost of that line. The system will automatically apply that credit and promotion when that line is activated."

Hope that help.🤝
So for this it sounds like you can add through the website without calling the reps?

If you add a new line, you won't get the pixel for free but only for half off.
However if you add the new line and port in a number (from another carrier) to that line then you will qualify for it being free.
It's what I'm going to do as I have a 2xl that I want to offload.

So, what I did was buy a portable number from ebay which another member on here some pages back linked to a vendor with verizon port numbers.

So my process for this is going to be:
  1. Add new line under account
  2. Call tforce to port the number to that new line
  3. Buy the pixel 4a 5G on that new line
  4. Trade in pixel 2xl
  5. Receive new phone submit for $100 promotion
For 1 and 2 you can call tforce to help you set that up, hell you may even have them help you do 3 and 4. You'll need to have the phone number, account number and pin so you can port it to that new line.
But does this make the both the Pixel and the New Line FREE (plus the $100 rebate)?

Military plan eligible?
I'm on the TMSERVE2 plan code. I always check these offers to see if they're eligible for the T-Mobile military plans, and pretty much, they never are.

I guess I can't complain as their military plan is so cheap already...

I just added an 11th line to my simple choice. The rep said that I am eligible with my plan and then I checked online after and he switched me to Magenta plus. He said I would be paying the same it's just rebranded as Magenta plus. I looked and he said my plan basically stays the same.

should I call back and switch back? Thoughts?

Anyone who has gone to Costco, can you help answer the burning question on this thread? Does it work?!!! I am going later to add my free line with BYOD and get the $200 + $100.
