The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

Now will you just do the $200 or try to put in and do the $100 also?
I submitted the $200 rebate.
Will try the $100 later - maybe tomorrow.

They are processed at different locations, so hoping that they stack.

Heading to Costco right now. I'm relatively new to this stuff (I added a free line over the summer via T-force, but haven't done any of this at Costco before and I am relatively new to phone deals).

Here's what I want to do:

1) Add a line at Costco for the $200 rebate (this should be easy. I checked and my SOC qualifies).
2) Get the Pixel 4a 5G deal. I initially thought I could only get 50% off with a trade in, but I'm reading from the OP and some reports here that this new free line will qualify. Is that right?
3) Port in a number that I can't port in immediately (requires a family member to get info that I don't yet have).

Questions:

1) Can I add the line at Costco now and then call T-Mobile later today to get the Pixel 4a 5G deal? Will the line I added today count for add-a-line-and-trade if I order the phone separately through T-Mobile later, or do I have to order/buy the Pixel from Costco today?

2) I have an existing number (paid line) that I don't use. Can I port in a number to that existing line to get the $100 port-in deal? That would be ideal for me so I don't have to worry about messing with the Costco rebate and T-Mobile rebates cancelling each other out.

If anyone can confirm that I'm understanding things correctly or set me on the right path, I'd be very appreciative.
1. Costco BYOD $200 rebate and Pixel AAL deals won't stack. It is one or the other.
Also, Costco doesn't carry Pixel phones, nor do they have deals for pixel. All pixel deals are from T-mobile (in-store and online).

2. $100 rebate works only on new activations and port-ins.

How did Costco submit the rebate? They print the rebate redemption form, and you have to submit the rebate at

Happened to me the last time also. Do you have a list of qualifying socs
today morning I called TMO customer care and was told that I qualify for the free line. She then double triple checked and said that I did qualify for the FREE line

I then visited the nearest TMO store and the agent there also said the same.

I was able to walk out with the sim card ($30) with the free line.

I also had them memo my account with the information about free line

let's see what happens next month

Is there a way to confirm the eligablity for a free line?
I'm on MAGENT2 with 2 free and 2 paid lines, tried to add one more line online and the checkout page still shows me $20 for the extra line. Is this normal?

I'm on military plan and will port two numbers at Costco. If it's not free ill just cancel it after 3 months and keep my $400 gc. I'll make $360.

Is it worth it to have the military plan at this rate? This will be the third free line I miss out on. Wondering if it's just cheaper to get the non military plan so I can build my account with these free lines.

Thanks, called 611 and rep confirmed this was the promo that started today 11/25, a completely free line and would not change or touch my current rate plan. Activated using unactivated T-mobile 5G SIM I had on hand from the $200 Samsung A71 5G deal (directly from Samsung) a few weeks ago.

Promo shows up on my online account as "$20 2020 Line on Us 3 (Additional Lines)".

T-Mobile One all-in plan total of 5 lines now for $110. Includes tax for three paid lines and Netflix (after Kickback discounts since mostly using wi-fi at home these days), plus two free lines this year.

Finally! Someone who has tried this! I will follow what you did. Just say I need to add a line and come home and Port the number over. Do you need to bring the BYOD with you to Costco? Any Sim charges? I also have an extra sim that is brad new.
For costco rebate did you use the temporary number you got at costco or the ported number?
