The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

My Costco was too crowded... so I opted to do it by phone (the chat message box for me wasn't working). Got the new line free, just had to pay the $10 sim card fee (which Costco always wavies).

They charged me $10 (sim) + $20 for the representative to put in the order. I asked if I could go online and place the order myself without paying the $20, so they said they would waive the $20 fee for me, so I only had to pay for the sim card.

Also confirmed that the $100 rebate to port over my number would work, I would just need to start that process once I get the sim card.
Same here. I always told to do the port in after the line has been activated.

I was able to get BOGO offer on Pro MAX

1) I am an existing customer with 3 lines ( Third line was a free line added last time they gave for free)
Called today and asked for upgrade options
CSR : mentioned that if I would like to add a line than I will be eligible for BOGO
I Said --- Let's cancel the third line I have and you can add a new line ( Free)
CRS.... yes that's do able
canceled the third line and added a new line ( $10 for new SIM)
Ordered 2 new phones- agreement for 30 Months bill credit
just paid taxes... $130+ Sim
Now I can sell my iPhone 11 on 3rd party site for a chunk...which mitigates my $35

Hoping I got a deal Smilie
This rep just messed up your account. For the free line deal you cannot have any canceled lines in the past 90 days. Why would you cancel a free line to get another free line which is no longer going to qualify as a free line? Also there are documents posted on reddit that show you cannot combine the iPhone BOGO with the free line. Good luck , i hope it works out for you but don't be surprised if it doesn't.

If somebody wanted to do the Costco line add, then try to stack the Pixel or OnePlus deal, how would you do that?

The discount on the phone is only taken when you checkout online and add a new line during the same process. I'm not understanding how, even if stacking WERE allowed, you could successfully get the discounted phone when you're adding a line and buying a phone in two separate transactions.

Would love any info!

Dumb question - is this promo automatic?

I chatted with the rep who said my First Responder was eligible for this, and I could stack it with the 4a 5G new line/trade promo...but I did not see an area to type in the promo code after I go through processing the Pixel 4a 5G, it says I would have to pay an extra $10/mo for the new line

I have the MAGENTA2 rate plan with four lines, so should be eligible.

I went to Costco and added a new line with port in from Verizon. All went well. But when I check my online account, I do not see "2020 Line on Us 3", but rather see "$4.00 New TMO Insider Voice 20% (Additional Lines)" added.

I contacted TForce via Twitter. Any thoughts from the community?

10 easy steps for anyone wanting to do the Costco deal:

1) Make sure you have your BYOD phone with you as the IMEI will be needed. T&C states that you MUST use this device on new number for 3 billing cycles.
2) Visit Costco and locate membership wireless kiosk
3) Have your Costco membership card ready as it is needed during the process.
4) Tell them you are adding a new line, no other details are needed. If you are porting in a number, you will have to provide the phone number, account and PIN for the number you are porting in.
5) If your plan qualifies, they will be able to add a new line after verifying last 4 of your social and in some cases call in Tmobile for approval.
6) If you have a dual factor authentication set on account, the primary account holder will get a text message with a PIN which will be needed to complete the transaction.
7) Once this is complete, you will need to sign and date some forms to acknowledge the deal terms
8) Lastly you will be given SIM card and a copy of the paperwork confirming your new number/port.
9) Port may take a few days, so you can wait and then file for the $200 Costco promo using the directions provided on the paperwork.
10) You can then file the Tmobile promo for $100 port in new line deal.

My Costco rep knew about this deal and was knowledgeable. Hopefully my account and plans remain unchanged, time will tell.
Thank you for this detailed instruction. I ended up getting a new number. Can I initiate separately?

Weird, then I am not sure what I can do. I went throug the whole checkout process with the Pixel 4a 5G but at the end it said I would have an extra $10/mo for the new line. Any thoughts? How do I fix this with the free new line?

I think simplest deal for me is to add a new line and choose between Pixel 4a or iPhone SE.

What would hold future trade in value on future deals, the iPhone SE?

FYI, just came back from Costco, my Costco rep told me she can't add a line for the accounts with corporate discounts anymore.

Usually, they had to call T-mobile for adding a line for me (grandfathered plan with corporate discount). She told me that she tried to add a free line this morning for other customers, but T-mobile rep said customers with corporate discount need to call directly or visit T-mobile store to add a line.

I could do September free line at Costco, but this time couldn't . Anyways wanted to share my experience today.

Yes you can always call in T-mobile and tell them you're porting in the new number for a newly added line and provide them the details

Sorry, I meant it should automatically apply. It may not show up immediately but if you go through the steps, you won't be charged for the free line and you'll get the pixel 4a for free after trade in after its all said and done.

Nice! I did a similar one except I activated it on my existing iPhone XS Max. Then converted my existing number to eSIM, plugged in the new SIM! I'm saving this new number for my future kids in 20 years haha

For anyone who's interested, I have the Simple Choice (SOC is SCFUTT4) plan with 4 lines for $100/month from like 7 years ago. I couldn't find a way to add the free line online. They had an option to add a line, but shows the initial $10 Sim kit fee and then $25/month bill after. I called and the rep confirmed my plan was eligible for the free line. There was a $30 something one time activation fee, but other than that, I am set. I'm waiting for the Sim kit to get in my mail to start activation and use. So call them! 👍
