The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

Some of the T-mobile representatives are not informed that if you do any eip payments on the free line you will lose that and the $100 rebate as the rebate is only for bringing your own phone.

I asked this question in another thread, hopefully someone can answer this.

Can someone who've done similar rebate at Costco in the past confirm if it's ok for the IMEI# on Costco's rebate info page (that they gave when activated line) does not need match the MEI# when we fill out the actual rebate?? I would imagine quite a few people changed their mind and use a different phone then the one they told Costco.
pretty sure phone dont matter. as long that line remains active until you get the rebate is what it counts i assume

Thanks so much for confirming. I will wait for T-Force to get back to me. Did you call or do it over Twitter or something else?
Initially I had did the line addition online but at the confirmation page it told me to call, I unfortunately thought I would be able to do it online. So I called 611 and they cancelled my previous order and redid everything adding the new line, my free pixel 4a 5g, trade-in pixel 2xl and Verizon port in.
I did this about an hour and half ago. I'm still waiting for it to show up on my account but I got confirmation email and EIP paperwork so I guess it takes some time.

Story short, I would just call and make sure that the rep confirms that you are porting into a new line with the free line promo.

I was just told that my plan was eligible, but since I already had 2 free line promotions that I would have to add another paid line to get this promotion. That was by Twitter TForce. I already have 3 paid lines.

Anyone get this to work who had the previous two free lines?
I had 4 paid voice lines and 3 free choice lines before adding this free voice line. I was told by 2 reps (1st one went silent midway through communication) that I was eligible for the free line.

I went to Costco today and added a free line. When I said I want to port in a number, the rep said that I could just call tmobile to port in the number. Is that how it supposed to be? If I port in the number now, will the $200 Costco rebate still work?

This deal worked on the iPhone SE (50% off) deal, surprisingly.

Do you always do the GV port at time of establishing the line when a port rebate is offered or do we have a certain period of time from establishing the new line to do the GV port to get the rebate?
On the last free line that stacked with rebate for transferring a number in, I transferred in several days later. I don't know for sure how long you have, but probably only determined by duration of rebate itself.

Just got my 3rd free line in 2020. Showed up in account /plan details like everyone else.

I'm joining the camp of trying to double dip this. I'll port in a number in a couple days and fill out both the $100 rebate and $200 rebate together with the same port in #.

Good luck to all!

Added the new line at Costco w/o port in. I don't see an option to port in my account online. What's the best way to port-in the number?

If I contact T-mobile reps to do it , will it affect Costco line $200 promo?

Costco should do the porting process. Did they print gift card instructions for you? If they did then follow the number on the form if not then go back and tell them to do the porting process.

Went to Costco earlier today to try to get the $200 add a new line deal for free but the Costco rep couldn't get it done because my account is allegedly on "flexpay" and he told me to call T-Mobile to get it removed but since it'd typically take 24-hr to reflect this update, I'll likely miss the deadline for this deal. But in speaking w/ the T-mobile rep to get this "flexpay" status removed from my account, I was informed that not only could I get the free line, I could also get the Samsung S20 FE phone for free (sim/shipping/$20 service charge all waived), just pay for the tax today and I'll get credited the 24 month installment back every month. Figured I could just sell the phone for at least $300 (which is more than $200 costco gift card plus the tax I paid on the phone)
And when I port in a number later on, I'd still qualify for the $100 rebate.

Not sure if I got lucky or this is just a standard deal. BTW, I'm have T-Mobile ONE.

Believe the military lines are not eligible.
