I've been using Visible Body for 4-5 years now. Very useful app, especially if you want to get down and dirty with your docs. Bring up the area you are talking about and use the 3D view to better understand what your MD is talking about.

I just ordered a couple of the other modules at $0.99 as I am fascinated about anatomy.

The VB app also seems to get updated each year w/o additional payment which is a great bargain for $0.99!

And I'll throw in my 2 cents for freeSmilie - For the money we pay for healthcare in the USA, every MD exam room should have a big monitor and an app like this to help doctors explain their diagnosis, instead of those sorry plaster/rubber models and body part posters on the walls, which are like something from the 1960's..

As an MD, the issue is that most docs aren't too tech savvy and on top of that, sometimes I do like the simplicity of something that always works. I do encourage patients to look up diagnoses and I try to at least spell it out for them and find a representative image on Google for the curious patients. As for healthcare costs, physicians account for 8% of healthcare costs, and we're constantly pressed for faster and faster turnaround and seeing more and more patients a day. On top of that, to be honest, most patients I see don't really care to understand the details. In short, if you do want to understand more, just ask, I personally am more than happy to flip through Google images or Wikipedia with patients, and I'm always glad when I see a patient so involved in their own care.

Rare to see a doctor happy with a curious patient. Last time I asked question to a Orthopedic, he yelled at me saying he is the doctor and I better take shots he was advising.

Physician payment linked to giving treatment is the problem. Insurance tried to improve by linking to least number of prescriptions and lab tests, but that has its own problems.

Insurance is the root problem. Need better regulation but not happening while half the country hates affordable care act

Is there any way to hide sections of the app? I want to let my kids explore the app but not get into the reproductive system yet at their age.

Sounds like you need to find a new doctor with less inflated ego and doesn't use the appeal to authority argument to shut down questions..

I have used these apps since 2016. They are awesome! Must have!
How / what changes every year? Do you buy each year? Does the old app continue working? What adds on every year?

The only thing I found irritating was that I purchased them on my phone and installed them to see if they were any good, then went to install them on my tablet and even though they are in my library, I have to pay again to have them where I originally intended. 🤦 ♂️ It's only $.99 each, but it still pisses me off. You've been warned.
Edit: This is on the Google Playstore and my Android devices. Every other app I have works on any of my Android devices.

I thought it goes with your Apple account ID. Not with device.

You only have to buy once. It updates every year. The quality and quantity of the software increase a lot. The old version could be still used if you keep the .ipa or not updated. But I don't see any reason to use old versions.
