I just picked up a couple of the 32" Dells that were on sale at Best Buy. The Dells are still a better deal IMO. Here's why:

Better brightness (400 vs 250)
Better contrast
Better response time (165 vs 144)
Better ports (1DP 2 HDMI vs 1DP 1 HDMI)
Better stand, MUCH better
Better curve (1800R vs 1000R, IMO 1000R is too curved for a 16:9)

I have a 32" monitor. My lack of skill I'm shooters I won't blame on the monitor. I played just as poorly with my 24 and 27

I'm worried about the same. I'm on a 24" 1080p now, so this is a huge leap. Is 24-27 the sweet spot for shooters?

I think most pros are 24 or 27, yes.

24" FHD and 32" QHD monitors have the same pixel density. So if you're upgrading from 24" FHD, you will only get literally a bigger screen.

I was thinking of getting this one but ended up with the Gigabyte M27Q that's currently $320 on NewEgg and has the same specs. I would check it out

How would that one compare to the Dell that's on sale at Best Buy?

Most of these are correct, but the Samsung one actually has the better response time at 1ms vs 4ms. So for twitch shooters, this might actually be a factor. However, you are correct that almost every other spec is better on the Dell.
