This seems like a very good deal on a gaming laptop for someone who wants at least an RTX 2070 video card, but I'm a bit out of the loop on gaming laptop prices. Is there a better deal elsewhere during this Black Friday season?

Thanks,
Tofu Vic

I use laptops for min 3-5 years (I currently have GTX960 Y700 from 2014 which is still going strong) and now I need second laptop with everything going virtual.
Looking at factors like:
- amount of time we spend in front of laptop
- faster internet
- resource intensive games and softwares using AI
- 5G era
- improved cameras in every single mobile
- high mega pixel mirrorless cameras
I strongly feel the laptop needs to be somewhat future proof with thunderbolt, good screen and good graphics card. 30XX series is already out and we won't see any deals on it immediately so if I need something now, I will buy something that will last me longer.

I have not tested Ryzen myself but keep hearing good things about it and very keen on $949 HP deal with 1660TI card along with Ryzen 7 4800

I'm torn between this and the MSI 17 for $1100 BF in Costco... I've put a table together with what I've found if you want to compare them

This one doesn't have g-sync. I am not sure how much that is important because I am going to use it for doing some preliminary simulations and not gaming.

Great list! Looks like the same laptops I'm looking at, I was also comparing where the plug ins are (sides or back)

I read that i7-10750H is far less powerful in performance than AMD Ryzen 7 4800H which have quite a few deals with cheaper price than this.

What's your opinion? Are you happy with i7-10750H?

CPU is MORE important than GPU for day trading, and maybe gaming as well, right?

BTW, thanks for sharing the great list.

Great list, I'm on the same boat. I'm also looking at the ASUS ROG Laptop with RTX 2060 yesterday but it expired already. The MSI 17 is OOS now and this Omen looking better with upgraded graphic RTX 2070 and the extra warranty Costco is offering.
