Doesn't work on website you have to call. Promo might be limited to only Xfinity customers.
Call 1-877-255-3635 and mention promo code XFINITY6M1D. Tell them when you attempt to checkout the $1 plan it tries to charge you $26. If you don't have a Norton account the rep will walk you through creating one.
Edit: Don't forget to tell the rep to turn off auto renew!
The one year subscription starts on day of purchase? So I should wait until a few days from to Dec 31 to purchase, right?
Norton normally doesn't start until you activate it, through a My Norton account. Their new scam is for auto-renewals so you need to set up a My Norton account and provide a credit card number. Don't worry, you can kill the Auto renewal part through the account, after you have installed the software. The activation code needs to be registered in My Norton account, and when it's registered, that's when the 1 year period starts. Not when you buy it.

I have more than 5 devices in my household. Is it possible to get two 5 device Norton subscriptions on my Norton account? Or am I stuck looking for a 10 device Norton subscription?

You can have as many subscriptions on your account, as you want. Whether you will get them for $1.00 each, only the phone call will probably confirm it.
I already had an active account, so instead of the $1 year offer, it let me increase my count to 10 for the rest of my period. I of course will turn off auto renew. Btw, when it went to turn it off, it offered me another 30 days to my subscription if I left it on. So I will come back in a week or so and really turn it off.
Thank you OP. I called and spoke to someone and they wanted a shot of the screen since mine was saying $26.99 when trying to check out.....Then he took my number down and said that the second level support will call me with a solution since there is a glitch that they are working on. Keeping my fingers crossed.
It charged me $1 + tax when I clicked through. You lost the "Premium" services when you shut off autorenewal, which looks like the hard drive optimization, which I don't run on my SSDs anyway.

The rep I spoke to was able to pull up the promo code and see the $1 deal and sold it to me over the phone. The phone call took 10 mins. Good luck.

That is a good point but the way I see it is, it wouldn't hurt to have both...
