I have the 7.5 holiday living tree which I bought last year. It is beautiful for sure, and easy to set up, but when I got it out this year, about 35 lights didn't turn on immediately. Then those 35 started flickering on and off for a couple of days before it seems like they are fairly solidly on now. Obviously I'm worried this tree will not last another year.

Any recommendation for Christmas tree that isn't prelit and has more of a fuller effect and is about 7.5 or 9ft tall? Price range is around $200.

I got the $100 7.5 ft Wesley tree from Home Depot. Not the fullest (1118 tips), but a good deal. It's unlit

Bought for pickup, not sure how long shipping would take. Any idea how big the box would be?

Can you easily replace the bulbs on that tree?
they are not replaceable, they are those "fairy" type of bulbs. In my case it's not a bad bulb though. The connection between the light sets is made inside the tree shaft, and when i put the top 1/3 of the tree on those 35 lights flicker. If i take the top off so it's just the bottom 2/3, those 35 lights stay on solid. I checked all connections for any dust/debris and made sure they were all tight, so it's an internal wiring issue.

Still cheaper than walmart, and they're all Chinese so not sure one is much better than the other. Thanks

I ended up getting the GE for $158, but I already have concerns. The tip count seems high, but it seems light weight at only 35.5 lbs. I guess I'll have to see what it looks like when it comes in.

Is it easy to store away?
Yes, it does all fit back in the box it came in pretty easily. The branches fold up by gravity if you hold it upside-down.

Does anybody have the GE tree? Curious what their impression is after it is actually set up and not a staged photo.

I went with the GE 7.5' for $158. Pretty sure it the the one we saw in store and it looked fuller. We bought a Basalm Hill tree about 7-8 years ago and honestly it is/was beautiful tree, but it was also $900 for a 7.5' and it keeps losing more and more lights each year. I'm betting on maybe getting 3 yrs with this tree (hopefully) and will be out less money.

What's the consensus? This one or the one at home depot also $79?
I'd go to the store to check it out first if it's on display. I wasn't very impressed but it depends on your expectations.

We had one where the lights died after a couple of years. Grabbed a set of wire cutters and ripped out the built in lights, added a $10 string of LED's and used it for another 5 years Smilie
