I have a DS412+ that has been chugging along nicely since 2012. I've been able to stream Plex 1080p content without issue since then. However, I am at the point where I'd like to potentially upgrade to something that can handle multiple streams and do the hw transcoding right on the NAS.
Would the 920+ be the logical step forward? Or should I go with one of the beefier NAS's Synology offers? I can only do Synology since I run a SHR cluster and would need to migrate my existing drives.

These are great for "shucking" the drive inside and using it in your NAS unit.
