lol, ship on Thanksgiving day? No shipping company is opened today and these are custom builds that will be built in 2 weeks according to the checkout when I got it. This was by far the best laptop deal of this year. Incredible specs for the money spent. Tune-in in a week or two to find out how this story ends. 😊
Actually my Cole Haan order was shipped today.

It's not a bad deal. He got a i7-1165G7 for $700. Try finding another laptop with a chip that's faster than a desktop i9-10900k in single -threaded performance. Yeah, that's right, not even the 45 watt Ryzen 4900HS can do that. You'd have to wait for Ryzen 5000-series chips.

The Tiger Lake chip in his laptop for $700 craps all over your Ryzen 4700U in your laptop for $700. The i7 is 2 generations ahead in terms of single-core performance and one generation ahead in multi-threaded applications.

Also, the i7 has more powerful graphics than your $700 Ryzen 4700U laptop.

I don't understand the logic in cancelling his order to buy another laptop with an objectively weaker processor and weaker graphics and a smaller screen. The only reason I can think of is that you want his laptop in that configuration, and you're hoping that his cancellation will allow you to buy it.
i mean, the ONLY thing his laptop has going for it is the i7 chip. the hard drive is slow, the maximum resolution on his 17" screen is 16x9, it's onboard graphics on both so it's not like there's a huge difference there. it's ridiculous the trade-offs he gives up for the chip and and the 17" screen. i don't blame him for wanting a 17" screen because there's a certain utility to that, but it falls short in a lot of areas just so it can be good in one. the other one has a touch screen and a pen if he does any kind of design work or note-taking or what-have-you, which can be useful for people. even if he has no interest in a touch screen, there are comparable deals for non-TS laptops. trust me, i don't want to buy his totally featureless configuration.

even this other HP config for $529 or less (depending on coupon codes) kicks his config's ass. full HD screen, SSD, same i7 chip. the only drawback for him would be it's not 17"

Been here for over 9 years now. 99% sure this gets canceled, not even sure why I still bother with these things. Was hoping these would be in stock, and they would ship before they can stop it, but seeing the Dec. delivery gives them plenty of time to stop it. I've even seen them stop these laptops at the port, after they've been built. Curious to see how far these go.

Same configuration I ordered is just $550 compared to $350 I paid so it's not a hell of a loss for HP as a price mistake. I'm guessing it will be shipped.

Does anyone get order cancelled? my order is not cancelled yet. I already bought 1 other laptop and 1 desktop, so I figure I'd take it if they ship or no hard feeling if they cancel too.

Mine too. And I can't look up order status using email and phone + order #.

I had to use the chat with rose (ai chat) to get it.

For some reason it wasn't tied to my hp account.

I did get the 15" with ryzen 7 for $439 and that one showed up in my account without issue. This is the better deal though.
