Do you think the bottom is cool enough on a campfire to put on a brick and set on table?
I can't speak for the campfire, but the bonfire size is cool enough on the bottom to use it on our deck without a brick. I would guess yes.

I have a bonfire on my deck with stand and heat deflector works like a charm.
I'm so OCD I bought the campfire for the kids to make their smores and hot dogs so they don't soil my Bonfire LOL.

Thanks for the response we will see what happens I'll just but a few small flat bricks on under it

There are a lot of fake ones with much cheaper price. At this point, I don't know which one is fake. I think solo stove started selling this stuff later than others. So solo stove is copy cat? Smilie

I think these are neat but it's gonna be one of those purchases later on I'm gonna ask myself what the hell I am gonna use this thing for. I don't think the majority people are going to be actually cooking on this thing and these are known to not give off much radiant heat. Still want it though for some strange reason.

If buying the solo stove lite, add the pot 900. They automatically add shipping insurance for 0.98. This will put your cart just over 100 bucks, and you can then use a referral code for 15 off (minimum 100 order). This gets you the pot 900 for only 15 more, which is a smart move to minimize pack space and protect the stove from damage.

How are the BF prices on the fire pits, compared to past deals? Anything good?

This stove cannot be used in any place but a developed campsite. It burns WOOD, not liquid fuel. Want all your pots amd pans black? This will do it.

May as well take a can and make one.

Looks like the other discounts are being pulled unless you happen to PM someone that knows about it. So still an interesting an idea with these things.

Yeah I'm wondering if it is worth the extra cost as opposed to eBay variety?

FWIW - I was planning to buy the solo stove, but ended up buying the Breeo Series X. Here's why.. Had the solo stove in my cart a few weeks ago and saw a banner ad on the Solo site for 'Military Discount' and how they support those who serve. Looked at the fine print and they canceled the program this year just 8 days before Veterans Day. This was one day after the cancel.

I posted a comment on their Facebook ad asking if I could still get the discount. They deleted the comment. I asked again the next day thinking maybe I didn't post it correctly. The deleted that comment too. No response at all.

That is disappointing and kind of irked me. This plus the fact Solo is made in China made me look to Breeo. Breeo is made in the USA and I can cook steaks and burgers right on the edge of the pit. Check out the 'Breeo great grate' video too. Sold!

I also ended up going with the Breeo X series as well, picked it up earlier this week. The BF discount on Solo stoves is pretty amazing, but I'm still happy with my decision. The Breeo is built like a tank and, like you mention, is made in the US and has a built-in cooktop. The Solo is still a great product, but having used both I can say the steel is far thinner. If portability is key, the Solo is probably a better choice - the Breeo is really, really heavy and their smallest model is 19"

Not true. I use my Solo stove every time I go hiking overnight and you don't have to be in the campground as it is considered as safe as propane or alcohol stove in the wilderness. But yes, I get black soot on my pot, so it's part of the deal when cooking over the fire.
