Yes, yes, yes, the iPhones come unlocked and without any SIM restrictions. You can use them with any provider or SIM card. You can gift them to your international friends if they want to use it. You still have to pay for the 2 months Visible service though to receive the prepaid MasterCard.
SAVE20 promo code will deactivate giftcard promotion.
I checked red dit to see if it's possible to save money on the first month of service but it seems that the SAVE20 promo code will deactivate the gift card and airpod promotion.
The same happens when you try to use the VIS20 (hello.visible.com/vis20) promotion. Though this would probably also override the cashback which you don't want to do anyway.
So just left this for others that I didn't find a useful promo code to save money on first month payment.

1) Phone came next day and is indeed unlocked. I transferred a Google Voice # for $3
2) That number came through the same day I received the phone and activated right away.
3) Right after the ported GV number activated on Visible, I moved my AT&T Unlimited plan from my old phone to the esim so I have dual numbers on this phone, it is unlocked, and it's super easy to get up and running.
4) I got the Bose headphones discount code the next day after the port took effect
5) I immediately put the Visible line on a party pay plan from Reddit and service is down to $25/month
6) I have 1-2 bars at my house with Visible (same when I had Verizon a couple of years ago) and am very rural. I'm getting 31 Mbps down and 4.57 up. The ping is slow so you won't be gaming - usually around 80-100 ms
7) Hotspot is really good as well, at least in my opinion - same ping, about 10 down on average, as high as 14, upload sucks, only around 1 up
Overall, with only about a week under my belt, it's been great
