Remember the days were it was 20% off everything, and they didn't inflate the prices.

I have almost 50 AWD in my cart for sales like these. Not a single one qualifies for the 20%

I work at amazon warehouse, these items are not items returned by customers, they are items that got damaged in the warehouse somehow, usually when they fall of the drives ( robots for transport) and literally get ran over. The guy selecting the condition of the item to see if it can be resold gets paid 15 bucks and has to scan/check condition of a few hundreds items everyhour, meaning they do a bad job and most times don't even open the box to check condition ( yes you get fired for going below the rates and it happens every week, so people cut corners everywhere). Others just steal what's inside the box, usually small items you can hide, airpods being the most targeted one. it's about lucky, I retrieve hundreds of damage items everynight from the robotic field, now I know where they all go lol. Btw, item condition is mainly personal opinion, there's no standard for judgement, if the selector think is good he will mark good item, another person might mark that same item in excellent condiont for example. It's all personal opinion and common sense mainly, and the whole process might take less than 10 seconds from start to finish per item.
Yeah not correct. I've bought items that were clearly used. Heck I even bought a lunch bag with food still inside the zipper. In general I've had luck though although both items that I bought during Prime day I had to return due to them being broken.

Amazon damages products get marked at all distribution centers. Amazon returns go to select (few) locations. Thus, most Amazon workers don't realize that returned products are also posted on AWD.

Put 20% in the search line and the measly 100 junky items will appear in your search.

For me warehouse items are a hit or a miss. But I took a gamble and purchased some airpod pros. Hopefully, I'm not sent complete crap because I'd like to gift them.

Do they have a certain timeframe for the discount? Looks like it no longer applies. Or did I choose a wrong item?

I agree with others, not true at all. I bought a lawn chair from AWD, it came with wrong screws and had the return printout that amazon asks to put inside the package still in it from the previous owner and the reason on it was "wrong screws".

It was not even opened and just put back on inventory.

To see what items qualify click the link on the SD page and it'll take you to the items that qualify. Next to the search bar it'll say Amazon Warehouse limited time, search what you're look for in the search box and if it qualifies it'll pop up. Hope that helps or makes sense.

Thanks. That what I did earlier today, but now that "limited time" string is missing and so does 20% apparently. Would you be so kind to check if the discount still works (and this is an issue on my end)?

why would you put 20% in your search bar? That makes zero sense.

While I am sure you are correct about some items, having bought several items from AW, I am certain some are customer returns. For example, I bought a Like New tent that clearly had been used for a weekend from the dirt in the poles and dog hair inside. These aren't things that happen from falling from a forklift in a warehouse. Other items, like an antenna was assembled and returned since I could see some of the shingle on a piece. And yes, there are other items that have had the packaged damaged by handling in the warehouse. I've found that most like new items are over stated in quality, while very good are usually on the mark or better, but in general it is almost random.

I was wondering how they determine what to resell individually (AW) vs. bulk resell [liquidation.com] (3rd party lots).
