My experience with backlit keyboards is they wash out on white or silver laptops due to the screen reflecting off of the keys. Opt for the Fog Blue to minimize.

Wow $400 for Ryzen 7 4700U + FHD screen + WiFi 6 (just $10 for the WiFi upgrade, so why not futureproof it), it's gotta be one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest ever for that combo.

A pretty futureproof buy, and I think the RAM and SSD are replaceable so if you need to do it now, or in the future, it's a perfect base to start with.

I'm confused can anyone clarify for me pls?

External disc drive. Does this mean it an "bundle" accessory that I could easily buy one from WM Target and so forth and save $ right there?

Or does this mean the disc drive is built-in the laptop?

This is a better deal than Walmart two weeks ago. If you want screen solution 15.6" diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), IPS, micro-edge, BrightView, 250 nits just add $40 more.

I am going to echo this. I know we try to get the price down as low as possible, but for $20 you upgrade the wireless card and the color to blue. Probably the 2 biggest no brainer options available (along with the screen to 1080p)

But you are correct that it's $399 with fhd screen upgrade now but you still have to upgrade it from the 768
