My experience with backlit keyboards is they wash out on white or silver laptops due to the screen reflecting off of the keys. Opt for the Fog Blue to minimize.

Add TOUCH, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD -- The configuration comes to 609, Apply coupon SMBHOL10 to bring down the total to $548.

Coupon SMBHOL10 works for $599 or more.

Paypal Chase offer gives 5% cashback too !!

Wow $400 for Ryzen 7 4700U + FHD screen + WiFi 6 (just $10 for the WiFi upgrade, so why not futureproof it), it's gotta be one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest ever for that combo.

A pretty futureproof buy, and I think the RAM and SSD are replaceable so if you need to do it now, or in the future, it's a perfect base to start with.

This seems very good. About as good or better in some aspects than the WM BF deal. You can actually even get a faster 4700u cpu for not much more... also backlit keys. Seems like nothing bad at all. Am i missing anything?

Does this have usb-c with DP and PD?

Like others, I just purchased the Inspiron 5000 deal last night. That has 2 m.2 slots, albeit one is a short 2230 slot, and a 53 Wh battery instead of the 41 Wh in the HP. I think prefer the Dell keyboard layout, too, because it has pg up and pg down keys whereas it appears the HP overlays those functions on other keys (but I have a hard time finding a good picture of the HP keyboard). The HP laptop is a good price, but I think I'll stick with the Dell.

Edit: forgot to add, HP has a vent on the bottom, Dell has vent on the back, blowing toward the screen.

Thanks a lot for quick response. That's what i am thinking too. This HP is an extremely tempting deal and cheapest I have seen for 4700U but i am guessing there might be some quality compromises we will be making in build quality etc.
ASUS you got is a good deal. where did you get it for $450?

God damn it slickdeals! I've already bought 4 laptops and i needed 1!

I might regret not getting this one but i still think the zenbook i bought with the specs shown below was the best bang for the buck i got ($450).

Thoughts fellas? Happy to be proven wrong
I would just be happy with what you bought. The deal in this thread is good but its still not as good as the "price mistake" HP deal from the other day. Now that blows out every black friday deal this year. Intel i7 11th gen for $250. LOL

You are partially correct. The size of HD on Walmart is 512GB, so it evens out. Also, Walmart laptop has the same network card (WIFI 6) .

For $20 more, you get a better processor and backlit Vs. more GB and no backlit (for some) on Walmart deal.
Ahhh ok thx. I didnt realize 512 hd. Then that comes to personal requirements. Both are good deal.

is this good enough for a senior for browsing, and occasional photo processing?
This is like a performance sports car at Toyota Prius prices. If your senior likes to drive a sports car...

Can you please post the link for the dell laptop deal & price, to compare the specs?

Can you return for free? It doesn't look like it and there's no way to cancel. I'm worried about soldered RAM
