My experience with backlit keyboards is they wash out on white or silver laptops due to the screen reflecting off of the keys. Opt for the Fog Blue to minimize.
Add TOUCH, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD -- The configuration comes to 609, Apply coupon SMBHOL10 to bring down the total to $548.

Coupon SMBHOL10 works for $599 or more.

Paypal Chase offer gives 5% cashback too !!
Wow $400 for Ryzen 7 4700U + FHD screen + WiFi 6 (just $10 for the WiFi upgrade, so why not futureproof it), it's gotta be one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest ever for that combo.

A pretty futureproof buy, and I think the RAM and SSD are replaceable so if you need to do it now, or in the future, it's a perfect base to start with.

I suggest everyone call them and get some money back. We deserve it.

For sure. It's been more than the 16 business days (+1 if you customized) that the confirmation email stated it would be shipped by and I haven't received any shipping information.

use code: HPSA33 to get it for $59. It's a really good deal if you are keeping the laptop for a long time. At the end of 3 yr if you don't use it, you can actually file for a refund. So it's practically free in that case.
I chatted with the rep and he told this package is not compatible with the laptop. Hp care pack for this laptop cost 127 plus taxes

about 4-5 hr playing 4K x265 using MPC-HC at lowest screen brightness

only if you install windows 10 home for uefi boot. If you try to install windows 10 with non secure legacy boot or another version of windows 10, still need license and activation.
Of course UEFI boot only, if you boot on legacy or the license don't match the OS version, activation won't work.

That's BS. I don't think he knows what he's talking about. so what was that package good for? it clearly says HP 15 17 Pavilion 10 on top. The people that bought the walmart one bought this for their laptop.

These are the other plans of various lengths:

Thats what im wondering too. if you look at the care packs linked directly from the product page (https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp...-9yv59av-1) click on the support tab, the 3 year with accidental damage is $115.99

I think the HP 15 is different from the HP Pavilion 15

This gift just keeps on giving.

I tried and it charges and displays with 1 USB-C cable, also the screen resolution can do 2048x1152 instead 1080p.
Are you saying the LG panel that came in the laptop is 1152 lines?

I plug it into a 2560x1440 Dell LCD and used USB-C for charging and display.

I noticed the resolution changed, and the online resolution tells me the current pixel is
QWXGA 2048 × 1152

New update about the static sound/noise from my laptop: in the login screen, I could hear the static sound when I was moving the mouse, and the sound stopped as soon as I stopped moving, same for moving the mouse through the touchpad or an external mouse. Weird!
What could have gone wrong? Any idea? Thanks.

It says HP 15, 17, Pavilion 10. Seems like HP 15 and 17 are another line of products.

It looks like this is the correct care package: https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp...p-u9yq9e-1

This is the same one that is added if you purchase the care package at the same time as the laptop

Question if anyone knows the answer. I have the Walmart HP pavilion deal with Ryzen 5 from November and I picked up this HP one with the Ryzen 7. I have been using the Walmart one for a while now and wish to just switch the 500GB SSD from the Walmart one into this new one so I don't have to transfer data and programs etc. Can I do a straight up switch without making any other changes to the SSD drives or will things get messed up?
