That's the reason I asked... I saw the identical CPU cooler on the ACER i5 machines that I bought. Cooler Master fan with this model on the fan: FA09025H12LPB

That fan is notorious for becoming louder and louder over time. I've even had one that sounded like tiny machine gun when under 99% to 100% load... (although that can easily be fixed by putting in a 3rd party CPU cooler)

Ok..I opened it up and ....oh well...weird power cables going all over the place. Well, it is gold unit and you could put in a video card that does not require any power attachments since there are no power connectors anyway except to add one hard drive 3.5. The reason I bought it for my wife and watches videos.

Video speed as good as GT 640. it does play 4k 60fps..no problem. Its quiet. ...except the dvd drive is noisy.

For the price, it will do the job. Best deal for fast computer for non serious gamer. But UHD 630 will play some good games for sure.

good computer to give to your mama....kids...(forget that..kids want gamer computer) or wife that shops for shoes. That right..good for the lady...for me..I waiting for the Costco deal 1660 with 16 gigs...

paid with costco visa so doubles warranty to 2 years. but when I read it adds 2 years so I am bit confused

If the manufacturer's warranty is 1 year, then purchasing with Costco card makes the warranty a total of 3 years (1+2=3). You also get 2% CB.

If you upgrade to Executive Member, you get an additional 2 years of warranty (making it 5 years total!) and you also get an additional 2% CB for 4% total CB.

how would you guys compare this with the hp slim deal at $400 (comes with a monitor) from office max. Do you think the net +$100 more for this machine is worth it to jump from i3 to i5 ? i dont do video editing or anything resource intense.

Are you referring to the Amazon deals from couple weeks ago at $449 ?

yeah.. the $449 Acer deal.... I want to get another i5 machines, so this HP $379 deal seems perfect. (SSD is half the size, but I rare use more than 100gb on the C drive anyway)

In for one, picked up in store; the employees were shocked by the price, which is still tagged on sale at ~$470 there. Probably going to keep this over the $450 Acer Aspire TC-895-UA92 deal. Is $70 more worth the WiFi 6 & 512GB SSD. Neither has a big enough power supply for a video card that requires extra power, probably going to look at one that doesn't require extra power. Any input is appreciated.

Just got it from Staple, and put in a GTX 1650. It works fine.
