My two cents on Cyberpower systems: They use decent normal size motherboards and standard OEM parts (as opposed to the prior Alienware and HP Omen systems I purchased in the last 3 months). Good airflow and good cable management/routing.
I bought the Dashmedi system from the prior SD posted at the end of October, same case as this one. Nice looking case. I haven't fully investigated the case, but I don't see any spots for large format HDD (3.5" drives). Only NVME slots on the mobo and 2.5" mounting brackets for SSDs.

Bonus: you can use rewards and/or get RW points by buying through Best Buy, if that's your jam.

Good information to know. It's great to get a PC you can upgrade without having to start from nothing.

Does anyone sell barebones PCs any more. They had the case, power supply, motherboard and CPU already installed.

I think this is a great deal. Especially with the 3070, which are basically impossible to get at a decent price right now. That does make me wonder though, how long will this be in stock?

Edit: This should be available for a "normal" period, give that scalpers usually don't target full pre-builts. But it's still a very popular GPU, so might want to act quick

It's been in stock several times at this price over the past few weeks. Always lasting for at least a few hours.

Very good points, yes most of the parts are high quality OEM. The only things they normally skimp on in pre-configured builds is the PSU and sometimes the RAM. Expect to get a very cheap no name power supply and potentially some cheap low speed RAM.

The RAM will not be a big deal for most people but the PSU could be a problem in the long run.

The Dashmedi system I just received has a Gigabyte Aorus 750W PS. That was the standard one they shipped, not upgraded, FWIW.

The Dashmedhi is not a preconfig. It's a customized build direct from Cyberpowerpc. I believe the deal someone posted in October had the better power supply selected if I remember right. The preconfigured systems sent to retailers includes a generic power supply which some people have had issues with.

This preconfig systems are luck of the draw on motherboards, it will be a name brand though

According the Best Buy reviews it's a Gigabyte B450.

Ah. Didn't know that the better PS was pre-selected on that one... I clicked through pretty fast on that config to get the order in quickly.

Bought one.

Recently started planning for building a gaming PC. Saw this and pulled the trigger. It's basically what I had planned to buy, but now I don't have to chase down the parts, especially that GPU!

Thank OP!

Snapped one up also! Thanks, OP! I've been out of the PC scene for the last 10 years as I transition to Macs but always craved my old PC gaming days and this fits the bill. That and BB offered me a 10% off coupon for my birthday this month and Discover's 5% cash back made this a super slick deal!

Now I have to look for a 1440p gaming monitor. The LG 27GN950-B for $449 at BB seems to have great ratings. Do folks here have experience with this unit or should I stop up to 4K? I just wonder if 4K is too many pixels to push for the 3070 at 60FPS or greater.

I think this is a better deal than the 10700k that I posted, which sold out over 8 hours.

That being said, there are some people who for one reason or another need the 10700k level of performance.

My 2¢ is.. the 999 version of this is/was my first gaming computer ever. It arrived with dead ram and the graphics card not fully seated. In other words, no QC.

Best Buy will refund me, minus the price of the free software (wow, godfall) I didn't want... they best they can do is try to back order another machine at 1199 and hope it comes in within my return period. I scratched my head the whole time.

Cyberpowerpc only will replace the entire machine, of course at MY cost to ship back..

TLDR: I've wasted hundreds of dollars of their time trying to replace $50 of RAM. fark both of these companies.
