Is it worth the upgrade trading in a 7t to an 8t+5g? The 5g part to me doesn't matter because, where I live, 4g speeds are screaming fast, as fast or faster than 5g which makes no sense.

A free upgrade with trade in seems like a great move, since I have no intention of leaving Tmobile thanks to a great plan.

But is there anything better about the 8t. Btw, I'm not impressed with my 7t after coming from a note 8

All depends on how nicely you ask and who you are talking to. I switched to TMobile a week ago. When I saw this promo, I called and asked if there was anything they could do. It took a supervisor getting creative on my account and me resigning a brew phone lease contract but they took care of me. My brother and his wife switched to TMobile about a month ago. When I told him about it, my brother called in and they took care of him too.

Tax question. I'll be traveling to NH soon. They have no sales tax, compared to here in NY😡. Anyone know if I actually go to TMOBILE store in NH, and do this or any Tmobile deal in-store, will I avoid paying NY sales tax upfront, or will they charge me NY tax because my billing address is NY?

Yup, everyone should not get on this deal because of the fingerprint problem, oneplus acct registration problem, photo app problem, locking problem...

More phones for those savvy enough to work around these temporary software issues!😁

Can a line be added to grandfathered Simple Choice. Then after a few months, one of the original lines cancelled without affecting grandfathered status? I've heard conflicting reports

Just customer care. They had to speak to their supervisor to get it figured out though. At first, the customer service rep told me no. I asked if there was anything that could be done since I had literally just switched to TMobile a week earlier with the 50% off the OnePlus 8T deal. They can't just edit the original contract I signed for the first two phones so they ended up having to add two additional lines to my account with the new deal attached and have me sign off on that. I had to pay taxes on the two new 8Ts again and, just as a part of the prices to make it work, they had to send me two more brand new OnePlus 8Ts (even though we just got ours last week). They emailed me a return label for the first two 8Ts we got. Now, I will take our original sim cards and put them into the two new phones when they arrive and send the old 8Ts back to TMobile. The two new lines they added to my account will be attached to the new sim cards that come with the new 8Ts and those lines will be "suspended" by T-Mobile so they will not add extra cost to my monthly bill.
At the end of the day, my monthly bill will look fudged up from now on with extra lines showing as suspended along with charges and credits left and right. The good news is my monthly bill will drop by any $30/month since I'm not having to pay $15/month/phone anymore. I'll take paying the $150 or so in taxes now over paying $750 more over the next two years.
Like I said, it's a bit jumbled but TMobile definitely went out of their way to take care of me and to take care of my brother and his wife. I switched from Google Fi who, when I joined a few years ago, had the best customer service I had ever experienced. They went way way downhill over the last two years and it is nice to be back with a company that I can get a positive experience out of.

So what's the consensus on the nicest color for the 8T?

I went with the silver as I thought the green one was not as masculineSmilie

Does the trade in have to be unlocked ? What if it's Verizon locked? Wife's phone has little screen crack.. would it be acceptable?
