First post, didn't see anyone posting this detail.

Home Depot seems to be matching the Makita $25 off $100 Amazon deal, but has a larger selection. I just bought the $99 12V drill/driver combo

plus a filler item such as this

and got the $25 discount, making the total $75.95 plus tax.

Granted that the Skil combo is cheaper on Amazon

but I believe Makita is a better brand, and the Makita combo comes with two batteries instead of one.

Great deal, though I have to take exception about about including the Skil as a comparison. The Makita is about 10x better than Skil, well worth a few bucks more.

I have owned both. The Makita is lighter, smaller, and because of the gearing, spins faster. The Skil is much bulkier and the trigger is less sensitive, but it does have more power. In function it doesn't make a huge difference, but given the tolerances of the construction, I favor the Makita, which I kept. (And paid return shipping for the Skil) Even though these are entry level tools, the Makitas are very well put together. On light-duty assembly or installation, these tools should give you a few years of steady, moderate use. This is a solid deal price.

This has been doable for awhile. Note it only works on the older bundle (can't remember the model numbers, maybe ct226 vs ct232). Only difference is older bundle comes with slightly inferior fd05 drill driver versus newer fd09 drill driver in newer bundle

The discount shows at checkout. Both items should say "Receive $25 off when you spend $100 on select Makita tools, discount applied in cart | Applied"

OP linked the wrong kit. As I mentioned above HD has two Makita 12v bundles at $99. The one eligible for $25 off $100 is the older bundle with fd05 drill instead of fd09

Try WINTER25 as a coupon code, that's what the code has been for this deal for a while, should be good through Jan 31st
