  1. Download Google Pay App (Android or iOS)
  2. Add Qualifying Payment Card to your Google Pay Account
  3. Follow On-screen Prompts and accept terms & conditions
  4. Swipe to "Explore" Tab in the App
  5. Scroll until you find the Target offer
  6. Click to Activate the offer
  7. Click Enroll Card
    • You may need to Click Activate again
  8. Spend $50 or more at Target.com or in-store using the payment card enrolled at Google Pay
    • Once the Reward is Earned, it will be deposited to "Your Money" in Google Pay.
    • You may redeem the cash back reward 30 days after your qualifying purchase.

Do NOT use Paypal or anything other than the "Credit Card" option during checkout folks. Using any other form of checkout even funding it via the same credit card is not the same. Make sure you use the same credit card that you enrolled on your Gpay account too.

I had that happen as well. You can have them request the $ from you.

This is the way I got around it earlier today.

Stuff like this is why ppl won't stick around and use this app longterm. I've used Google for years and they just have a tendency to have half-assed glitchy experiences like this.

Easiest way is to just click on the bottom of the Target offer page where it says Use online, then make a purchase the same way you would on a website, use the credit card associated with your GPay. That's it.

The reward posted about couple hours for me, but the referral bonus I tried with my wife didn't.

Anyway, how do I redeem this $21? My "Money in Google Pay" shows as $0.00 though...

The Target reward will be pending for 30 days. Your balance won't reflect it until then. You should see this in the far left tab.

Referral reward you need to send $10 to a friend or use $10 or more via NFC payment (Android only).

I'll say this. I don't know why they expect a general user to use gpay. It's a mess. I have an Amex that just won't load to my wife's account.

Two other cards that gave errors when loading. I'll fight around it, but the average user would have given up by now

purchased a $50GC, and $21 reward showed up right away. reward also says "available in 30 days".

Now, how do you use gpay to redeem this reward on IOS? is it just like normal payment method on phone?

I said this a few comments ago.

I love Android but hate Google. They F everything up. Nobody is going to use this app longterm. The experience and UI is horrendous.

Somehow I read it as it's valid now for next 30 days. Thanks! Still, how am I supposed to redeem the credit later on? Any idea? I don't know if the referral bonus would trigger after that 30 days of pending.

The $21 reward is like cash. Once you verify your info (SSN, address, name, etc.), you'll be able to transfer it to your bank when the reward post after 30 days... or link a debit card and transfer it with a 1.5% fee to bypass SSN, address, etc.)

Once the 30 days passes you'll need to redeem the reward and then it will go into your balance. At least that's how the referral bonuses worked for me today. I'd assume the Target offer will work the same.
