Do you mean the phone would stop working after running out of data? Cannot you still make phone calls after running out data?

For those who keep asking, once you use up data or text messages then you can add more. Data is $10 per gb and text messages are $5 per 1000. Of course, coupons out there to make these addons cheaper.

A word of caution for those transferring a number to TracFone Verizon plan:
I transferred an existing number from TMO to Tracfone after I successfully activated TracFone on a number initially assigned by TracFone. The customer service dept deactivated their assigned-number, and tried to "activate" the number I transferred from T-mobile. After spending hours-and-hours on different days with their highest level of support, I was not able to activate my tracfone service! I had to ask for refund from my credit card company!

So if you are transferring a number to Tracfone Verizon plan, be aware that it may not work. Their customer service is polite but useless.

I was curious if anyone knows if you can combine minutes/data/time/texts from two separate Tracfone accounts under separate emails?

If so, can you do it on Tracfone's webpage or need to call customer service?

I have another question for you guys. I got the $54 G Power phone from Amazon, and have been sitting in the closet without doing anything. Is it possible to unlock this phone, by buying this card to get a one year service? I heard that in order to unlock the phone I got to use the original verizon sim from the phone for one year, how to proceed with adding the 1 yr service to the sim ? thanks guys

I bought one of these early this year. Most of my calls are on Google voice which uses Wifi when in house and cell while on the road. Since most of my calls end up on Wifi, this has worked out for me even with 3GB limited data. Didn't expect it but here I am after 9 months. The last one was priced around $36, so works out to about $4 per month.

My son is also on Tracfone. When he runs out of data there is also the option to add 1GB of data for $10. That gets added to the bucket for the year. There are codes out there to add 500MB with purchase, so works out to 1.5GB for $10,no tax.

Well I'm currently into my 3rd year of Tracfone usage with these annual plans and with a year of service remaining I have over 1500 min/3000+txt/ and 3.5gb of data in my account. It becomes second nature for me to check wifi on and mobile data off when ever I change locations

I don't trust these tracfone deals anymore. They screwed me on my last one. The fact that it's only for new phones is where they get you on this.
