Good for the average person wanting good picture quality without spending an arm and a leg.

You may have growing pains.

If you want better, pay more for LG/Sony.

If you game, and want it to work now, go with LG.

If you game, and want to save money, and are happy waiting for Vizio to POTENTIALLY fix the gaming issues, then get it.

Should sum it up.
From what I understand, this is using the panel LG puts in the BX line, vs the CX panel which is what Sony uses.

Per Rtings, this produces solid picture quality, but is significantly dimmer than the CX panel. This may not make a difference for some depending on where you plan on using it or preferences.

Not sure I would recommend in a well lit room (ie living room with lots of windows) but could give you a great experience in a basement theater.

At the end of the day, this was the Black Friday price, but I personally went with the Sony A8H for only a few hundred dollars more.
Maybe the 55" model

Seems like an extremely similar TV to the LG BX OLED based off a few reviews. Maybe someone with more knowledge can comment though?

Not a bad tv per the reviews online, as it is using a LG panel. I think most people looking at OLEDs would probably spring for an LG instead. I looked at possibly getting one but it does have some bugs to be worked out especially in the hdmi 2.1 connection, at this price I would spend more and get a tv with all working features. I have an LG C9 from last year and I love it.

I think if you don't plan to game there is really no difference.

I bought the 55" for $1080 including 5 year best buy warranty which covers burn in. I had the C9 before this and I can't tell the difference in PQ. There are bugs, but I tolerate them knowing I have a 5 year warranty. Vizio makes periodic updates to the avsforum for bugs. The one that I've experienced is a bug with the "watch free" area of the software- sometimes it locks up the TV and I have to unplug and replug it in. More information can be found here: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/...k.3167344/

For $1080 for the 55" I would recommend it as the closest I've seen for the LG or Sony is around $1600 with the 5 year warranty. I'm not sure I would shell out $1400 without a safety blanket of a warranty for the 65" considering the bugs
