Info on
Screen Pass [moviesanywhere.com]:
- To participate in Screen Pass and remain eligible, you will just need to purchase a Movies Anywhere-eligible movie or redeem a digital code every 6 months. (This is to send Screen Passes. To accept up to 3 you don't need to do anything except have a MA account but if you want to accept more than 3 you would also need to meet eligibility requirements)
- Registration with Movies Anywhere required.
- Open to US residents 13+. Other restrictions apply.
- When you send a Screen Pass, it must be accepted within 7 days. Once accepted the recipient will have 14 days to start watching the movie and 72 hours to finish it once it has been started.
- You will earn 3 Screen Passes when you become eligible. As long as you remain eligible, you will earn 3 new Screen Passes on the first day of each calendar month. Unused passes expire at the end of each month and do not roll over month-to-month.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't abuse any work arounds and screw it up for everyone!

If I want to watch a Christmas movie like Elf or Christmas Vacation with 3 friends and none of them have the movie, I can send them all screen passes. We could do a repeat with a movie one of them owns the next week and so on. You can send out 3 passes a month.
Since the demise of rabbit, watch together online has been a struggle for some who don't want to pay for Prime or Netflix, so I thought I'd share the info. If it doesn't help you, so be it; it's helpful to others.
As for Screen Pass, that's mentioned because it's helpful in Watch Together so everyone doesn't have to own the movie. You're incorrect that it's been live "for nearly a year." The closed Beta began on March 17, 2020 and there were plans for a public beta in May but not sure when that rolled out or the public release of the service but as of 5mo ago it was still in beta.
Anything else you'd like to complain about?

Watch Together just rolled out 5mo ago, in late July, and no mention of it on Slickdeals that I could find ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ah ok. Your quote got messed up but now I understand. The initial phrasing was very confusing to me.
