Most of the connectivity issues you're referring to were resolved with updates a long time ago.
I guess it depends on your definition of a long time ago. My brother just moved to California from Oregon in the last 6 weeks. We ultimately had to switch him out . Since he bought the phone 6 months ago...he was dealing with Tmobile to fix it. He had updates. Tech support. Swapped out the phone TWICE. Same issues whether he was in Oregon or California. That was his experience. I would love to have blamed it on region...but that would be odd in CA and OR both. So....again....MAYBE they fixed it....but this was our experience as of 4 weeks ago when he switch to AT&T with an S20.

A71, at least on Tmobile network is a total garbage phone with many KNOWN issues that remain unresolved. Buyer beware. Dropped data and missed calls galore.
BS...My neighbor using this phone on T-Mobile network and always saying how happy he is with this phone...And how good was, that he didn't spend his $700-1000 for the Samsung premium phones...
I also know another person at my work, who said, that he does not see the difference between A71 and S9,S10 he used before...

Not true. Just reach out to @tmobilehelp on Twitter via DM with the imei and they'll unlock it for you. I just did it last week. No special approach required. The unlock was successful in 8 hours.
I tried that and they replied with the usual policy requirement for unlocking. May be I can use the exact words you used. I am not T-Mobile subscriber may be that's why they said no?

Chat with the rep on the product page (lower left corner) for additional $20 off.
Don't use the chat on the support/help page.
How did you got additional $20 off? What did you ask for?

How does it compare to s10 in terms of camera and performance? Is there a significant difference in speed?
A71 has cameras between S6 and S7 levels based on dxomark: https://www.dxomark.com/samsung-g...ra-review/

So not great...

The pictures are a little better imo on the S10. Both phones have Qualcomm Snapdragon processors inside. The A71 is faster right now, but that's because my S10 has slowed down somewhat after only owning it for 5 months.

Darn you...already got the UW version....don't really need this but what the heck
But UW is a better deal as you get Buds+ free. BTW, the $20 off apply to UW version as well.

Similar deal to before but the Verizon version being same price and including buds+ is new. I also believe the unlocked version being only $75 is new. Downside is older deal had $50 Samsung credit while this one only has $20.

Not a bad deal. I returned my last one because Samsung screwed up my any android trade and marked my phone as blacklisted when it wasn't (just an old CDMA phone that was never activated on Sprint). I asked for it to be returned but never got it back. Not bothering to track down a phone that was only worth $5 tops.

Well, thank you brother for the terrific news! Look, I already did the deal, so if it happens to me I'll just toss it. $200 ain't much these days.

Traded in some older phone - A Samsung Galaxy Core Prime or something, for an "Any Phone Trade-In" and they rejected the trade-in, so they definitely have some type of standard for what is able to be trade-in, and they just won't tell you.

Does not say anything about it...
They will email you about 5 days after with instructions and a shipping label.

Should be careful with your trade in. I traded in my Galaxy 2 from Sprint, fully paid and flawless, got rejected because "blacklisted" and "broken usb" even though I charged it to 100% before sending it in. I had to argue to get it re-assessed. Passed the second time.

Don't ever want to do business with Samsung again.
100% agree about trading-in. Be very careful about trading in with Samsung directly...document everything and prepare to fight for the value of your trade-in. I've traded in a phone before with no problems but my last trade-in was rejected and reason was "blacklisted." I've check the blacklisted databases and my phone was not listed. My phone was a brand new...they gave me partial trade-in value. I had to fight to get the full credit..felt like time wasted compared to what more you could do in daily life... I think Samsung uses a shady 3rd party to assess the condition of the phones...be forewarned.

Can we get the verizon version and get it unlocked so that it could be used on T-mobile? Not sure if that works or not, but any advice is helpful.
