BS...My neighbor using this phone on T-Mobile network and always saying how happy he is with this phone...And how good was, that he didn't spend his $700-1000 for the Samsung premium phones...
I also know another person at my work, who said, that he does not see the difference between A71 and S9,S10 he used before...
Great to hear! That other guy was trying to make me feel bad about my purchase.

Got this phone from the Samsung trade in deal about 3 weeks ago. Traded in a note9 with a smashed screen and ended up paying $36 out of pocket. Pretty good phone, feels about as fast as the note 9 did. Battery life is solid. Samsung gave me no issues with the trade in. Just make sure your device powers on and it is factory reset before sending it in.

Well, thank you brother for the terrific news! Look, I already did the deal, so if it happens to me I'll just toss it. $200 ain't much these days.
I really hope they fixed it all. That would be great news for those jumping on the deal

I got the Note 20 Ultra last month. As of today, I still can't find a way to turn off 5G on T-Mobile. Frown (even spend hours asking about it on XDA)
Settings ,connections ,mobile network , network mode

Pick the 4g one.

Been using 20 ultra on tmobile without 5g

You should be able to

Go to setting ---> connectivity ---> Mobile networks ---> Network modes, pick LTE/3G/2G(auto connect)
Does turning off 5g save considerable battery life?

Why did you turn off the 5G? Is it spotty in certain areas because the technology is still so new? This is what I've read online. People will turn off their 5G if they are having that issue. But the Ultra is future proof in that it does have the better 5G chip inside.

No hard feelings. I've recovered emotionally now. 😆 I'll be on the lookout for the issues you described that happened with your brother's phone. Happy New Year.

Should be careful with your trade in. I traded in my Galaxy 2 from Sprint, fully paid and flawless, got rejected because "blacklisted" and "broken usb" even though I charged it to 100% before sending it in. I had to argue to get it re-assessed. Passed the second time.

Don't ever want to do business with Samsung again.
I can't blame you for feeling that way, after going through that experience. Thank you for the heads up.

What is the purpose of doing that? I looked at it and it doesn't just have a setting to turn off 5G. It just has another group of connections without 5G in the group. If you have the group with 5G selected doesn't it just connect at LTE, 3G or 2G if there is no 5G around?

So is it possible to get the phone unlocked without using it on TMO?
