Speed silvers are great, but 2 things I hate about Corsair keyboards after owning 2 are:

1.) Key caps become unreadable. Paint comes off if you're a heavy typer and replacement keycaps other than Corsair are hard to find to fit a specific model.

Most irritating is Corsair knows this is an issue and offers to replace only 5 keycaps, with the exact same problem.

2.) iCue software can be a horrible ass experience.

I think it's fair people know this info before squeezing the trigger.

I have the XT that was 179.99 on Best Buy CM, it's a great keyboard. Almost thinking about returning it and getting the older version and save 70 dollars.

Nice price. I bought it 2 weeks ago from BB for $20 more. I called them and they price matched to the lower cost with zero issues.
I went from a K70 Lux to the K95 and the feel is great. A little learning curve with the macro buttons but it has been great for the time I have been using it.

Corsair k70 low profile with Cherry MX speed silvers is also on sale for $100. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cors...Id=6298657

I've owned countless keyboards over the years from IBM buckling spring clacky, membrane, scissor keys, cherry mx brown, red, blue, gateron in various colors, likewise with kailh; housed on Das Keyboard, Ajazz, Royal Kludge, Keychron, and the list goes on. The low profile speed silvers are my favorite to type on out of all of them. I now own two low profile k70s and would eagerly choose the low profile k70 over the full height k95. The more shallow actuation distance, more shallow travel, and stiffer resistance combine in an alchemical harmony for confident and comfortable touch typing unmatched by any other keyboard I've tried for the past 40 years.

All mechanical switches are louder than membrane switches, but I have a K70 with the same Cherry MX Speed switches which I made more quiet with the larger thickness red o-rings that you can install under each keycap which made it acceptable for me, and I HATE clicky mechanical key sounds so this is the only configuration that I've found tollerable. The o-rings also make a nice bump stop so the keys don't bottom out instantly hitting a hard surface, but rather slow down with a nice cushion for the final approx 0.1mm of travel which makes it feel a little smoother when pressing each key all the way down. I like that these switches only have 1.2mm of travel vs 2.0mm for all other standard Cherry MX switches because I prefer shorter presses to actuate them which seems a lot more efficient with less wasted motion, movement, or finger travel length, allowing me to type faster. The only thing I had to get used to was if I barely bump a Cherry MX Speed switch it will register as a key press vs the "standard" length switches which usually won't register as a key press since they have longer travel requirement before they resgister as a key press.
