Radon detector by Airthings for $140
Lowest price I ever saw. I have it for number of years now, good device. Got it when first came up, for over $200. Batteries last forever, does not require annual recalibration, all time, 7 day and 24 hours averages (although I have questions on average calculations, I think it is bit off) .
Leave it for a month to have reliable result, 7 days minimum, dont be running around and complaining about the device after first result after 1 day shows data way off from what you expected.
Few friends borrowed it, few weeks at a time. Made them less worry.

I ended up adjusting my ventilation to bring it to around 1 (half opened one window in the basement, open all windows for 30 min when daily creeps above 2).
Should note, if you added sealing and/or exhaust fans (or even upgraded) it is likely that long terms average radon level will go up from the levels measured by the home inspector.
Also note, from the Q&A:
"Professional testers need to be used for a 48 hour test. For this home unit, it should run at least a week to be somewhat accurate. A month would be better. It will have a 20% deviation for a 48 hour test. 7 day test should be around 10% deviation and 2 months around 5%. Right now, mine has about a 30% deviation compared against professional 48 hour testers. I'm contacting support now for help. I've owned it for about 6 months."
