Apparently it only looks at BofA cards. Where as the Chase 5/24 rule looks at any credit card issued to you, regardless of which company issued it to you.
Edit: Adding the 7/12 and 3/12 rules for BofA higher up to this comment.
"7/12 and 3/12 rule"
"According to this rule, customers with a BofA deposit account will not be approved for new cards if they've opened seven cards (across all issuers) in the last 12 months, while customers without a BoA deposit account will be rejected if they've opened three or more cards in the last 12 months."

If you are BoA honor premium member, you can get 75% more cashback to $5.25% on your selected catalog
That made me furious and will never do business with BoA ever again.
I do have this specific card and it is generally fine, I use it for 3% back on online purchases mostly and I buy/sell music gear so I hit the cap pretty quickly. I'm considering moving to an AMEX with 1.5% back exchanging the 1.5% difference for customer service.
HOWEVER, it is nearly impossible to get in contact with someone in the credit card department if you have an issue. I had to dispute a couple charges over the years and they make you fill out an automated form where you can put attachments, but the form doesn't work properly and they always lose some of the attachments/evidence. Then you have to spend hours on the phone to speak to anyone and they just make you fax in appeals. They do not give you any sort of receipt for the appeal so you have to get on the phone again for hours hoping they didn't "accidentally" lose it. I recently had an issue where I was overcharged, the vendor was having issues refunding and literally told me to dispute as that's the only way to get the money back. BoA "lost" my dispute and then said it was too late.

Well, it has definitely not been my best card. They are really touchy on the fraud triggers, I got locked down quite a few times, mostly grocery shopping. As to fees, I have not had to pay any thankfully as I pay it off monthly. But, I am sure they would stick it to me if I was late. Overall, I wouldn't call it a great experience, just Ok I guess.
A warning though. No online chat. No email support. All phone.
Technically if you're a large enough customer, you get 5.25% CB once the actual deposit is made and the 75% bonus is factored in. Not bad for a zero fee card.
I find the boosted 5.25% pretty hard to beat

Month one of this card & I'm really squeamish about really liking it for .com
This .com wasn't eligible for 3% Dancewear Solutions
Then I got hit with $0.98 foreign transaction fee that was paid with paypal they confirmed is from Romwe that Citi Doublecash certain never hit me with.
