Got rejected, have a 780ish credit score. Maybe too many credit card sign ups recently
From what I could find online regarding BofA these are their restrictions for credit cards:

- You can only get approved for 2 new cards in a 30-day period
- You can only get approved for 3 new cards in a 12-month period
- You can only get approved for 4 new cards in a 24-month period

Apparently it only looks at BofA cards. Where as the Chase 5/24 rule looks at any credit card issued to you, regardless of which company issued it to you.

Edit: Adding the 7/12 and 3/12 rules for BofA higher up to this comment.

"7/12 and 3/12 rule"

"According to this rule, customers with a BofA deposit account will not be approved for new cards if they've opened seven cards (across all issuers) in the last 12 months, while customers without a BoA deposit account will be rejected if they've opened three or more cards in the last 12 months."

Also rejected - 820 credit score and i have no BoA credit cards (never have). They did hit me with a hard credit check though. :|

Your minimum payments apply both to your purchases and balance transfers. You are paying 1 percent of your purchase balance and an additional 1 percent of your BT balance every month.

Opps. You are right. It's 15 months for the BT.
So from what you are saying, all payments made will bring down the current purchases first.
Thanks.
The Bank of America minimum payment is $35 or 1% of your balance plus interest and any late fees, whichever is more.

I'm sure that this has been mentioned before, but it's worth restating. While the balance transfer might be interest free for 15 months, it is subject to a Balance Transfer Fee ($10 or 3% of the amount of the transfer, whichever is greater).

I bought something online via PayPal in US dollars from a company in Canada, and BofA charged me a foreign transaction fee---first time I've ever had one of those in my entire life! I called them up to see why they charged me this fee---the rep answered the phone, "Hello?" (ugh), I explained the issue, and she transferred me to a Spanish rep (huh?). PATHETIC COMPANY. I've never had this fee with any other company----BEWARE. This is truly a horrible credit card company. I am thoroughly disgusted with this company.

Not worth it for most people, the hard credit check plus being stuck with another credit card, don't know why many consider these "deals". Guess there are still people who need new credit cards out there

Does that mean you spend a lot in 3 months? To get the $200 you have to spend $1000 which just gave you a 20% discount on your purchases. It's not really free, it require you to buy stuff to get get a discount. Also, BOFA isn't losing on this since they are making it up on the transaction fee and membership fee they charge the vendor you are using. Well, I suppose, there is no point to be technical here. Enjoy that unfounded $200 each of you obtained.

It's actually worth if if you're a preferred member.. 5.25% back on the category of your choice.

I already have the 3% online cash back of this card, but because I shop at Costco alot and the bonus cap combines Costco limit, I would like to get a second 3% online cash back bonus account on a new B of A card. Could I be approved for a second card with the same bonus category?

How much do spend at Costco?

Not all banks have 0% foreign transaction fee, BoA doesn't. Or are u implying that when u pay with a non-BoA credit card that has foreign transaction fees yet when u pay this Canadian company with that other non-BoA card u are charged 0% foreign transaction fees because the amount is in dollars?

Another knock on BoA, I just found this out the hard way this week.

If you use PayPal's send money to Friend or Family, BEWARE of Bank of America's policy:

Cash Advance Fee:
If you obtain a Cash Equivalent, ATM Cash Advance, Over the Counter Cash Advance, Same-Day Online Cash Advance or Wire Transfer Purchase, we will assess a transaction fee equal to 5.00% of the U.S. dollar amount of each such transaction (Fee: Min. $10.00).
Where Same-Day Online Cash Advance is defined as:
Same-Day Online Cash Advance: by a same day online funds transfer to a deposit account.
Note: Bank of America considers PayPal money transfers to be "a same day online funds transfer to a deposit account."

Can someone tell me what exactly "online cash rewards" means? Is that just another way of saying statement credit?
