Apparently it only looks at BofA cards. Where as the Chase 5/24 rule looks at any credit card issued to you, regardless of which company issued it to you.
Edit: Adding the 7/12 and 3/12 rules for BofA higher up to this comment.

If you run high balances thru the ur card and payoff right away the new silver unlimited could be more beneficial for u. As a Platinum honors you would get 2.65% cash back unlimited. If u don't run that many transactions then the cash rewards is a better choice. Keep in mind the cash rewards 3% is capped at $ 2,500 per quarter (3 months). So once u spend that amount on the 3% category, the 3%-2% goes down to 1%.
Loved BoA cards previous "ShopSafe" for virtual cards, the feature gone made me sad.

They closed one of my credit card with 25k limit on it because I kinda forgot to use it. Called them to reopen and they said once the account is closed there's no way to reopen. Sad!
Edited: Just called the number on the back of the card and they refused to reopen the account.
How did you become Platinum Hornors?
Have $100k balance in any of the accounts (checking/savings/Merrill Edge investment)
Technically if you're a large enough customer, you get 5.25% CB once the actual deposit is made and the 75% bonus is factored in. Not bad for a zero fee card.
