Apparently it only looks at BofA cards. Where as the Chase 5/24 rule looks at any credit card issued to you, regardless of which company issued it to you.
Edit: Adding the 7/12 and 3/12 rules for BofA higher up to this comment.
"7/12 and 3/12 rule"
"According to this rule, customers with a BofA deposit account will not be approved for new cards if they've opened seven cards (across all issuers) in the last 12 months, while customers without a BoA deposit account will be rejected if they've opened three or more cards in the last 12 months."

You need have $100K or more in total stock/401k/retirement etc. with Merrill/BOFA to get to their platinum tier. Once you reach that status, you get extra .x 1.75 bonus multiplier that works with few cards - including this one.
thanks man.. good to know this.
I am hoping to take advantage of the category (Home furnishing/furniture).
However, I am gonna share a caveat. The (1st) card was stolen in the mail and used 200 miles away. I was waiting for it in the mail and notice $800 in charges and immediately filed a fraud claim.
The froze the account and sent me out another card w/ new number. The charges were reversed but still in the investigation stages. I a, just curious how the card was stolen in the mail. in my 30 years, I've never had a fraud/stolen card. Either someone did an inside job at the Post Office or distro. And how did they hell did they activate it without me getting a notification. Regardless, BofA rectified it.
And is it unlimited? also does BoA reject people who use it as a business card?

Wondering if the start date is marked from the time you order the card or when you activate it.

I also get Walmart as grocery - i thought it is not supposed to be a grocery.
I'm a Platinum Honors Tier BoA customer with 2 existing BoA Cash Rewards Card, 2 checking accounts and a Merrill Edge Investment Account.
Credit score before applying 815 and did not apply for any BoA cards in the past 2 years but got 2 Chase cards recently in the past 6 months.

Not unlimited but it does cover just about anything online (aside from "doctors, schools, government, insurance, utilities, nonretail services(therapy, shipping, dry cleaning, etc)").
*"Advertising services" is one of the exclusions under "non-retail services"
"Earn 3% and 2% cash back on up to $2,500 in combined choice category/grocery store/wholesale club purchases each quarter, then earn 1%."
