This isn't the Verizion mmWave version, so it should work for 4G, calls, texts, etc., but I don't think 5G will work.
Verizon has 2 5G. it will work on the other 5G.

Get ripped off for 90 days. PASS!!
You shut down data and pay $60 for 90 days (possibly $40 with referral). Assume you pay $460 for the phone. If you are ok paying $460 for this phone then it is not a rip off.

If I transfer a Google voice number to google Fi, would I be considered as a new customer and avail all the discounts criteria?
Google voice port worked for me on 4a 5G deal.
Numberbarn also worked (and cheaper than GV)

you need to unlock it to port out. I think it was $3.

I remember paying $2 to numberbarn but now it looks like it is $5+$2. so GV is still cheaper sorry.

Why did you need to port out like that? Your GV and Fi belong to two separate google accounts?

GV and Fi are using same network but they two entities. First we need to port out from GV which will provide ac no and PIN. You can use those details in Fi for port in.

Quick question on wi-fi calling.. I'm assuming there will be no problems with my home wi-fi and using the S20?

I was curious so I called Fi customer rep and asked if they charge the same $10 for using less than 1gb in a month with their flexible plan. The rep assisting me who sounded quite experienced & knowledgeable surprisingly said no.

She said Fi charges $1 for every 100mb of data use which equates to the $10 once you get to 1gb. It continues the same way until you get to $60 and it's equivalent 6gb and is then free after that. She emphasized that free means only until you get to 15gb and the service gets throttled to 256kbps until the start of the new billing cycle.

For someone like me that's currently stuck at home due to COVID and using my home's wi-fi 97% of the time for work this might not be a bad plan.

Again it all depends on the wi-fi calling.. Can anyone chime in with their wi-fi calling experiences using a galaxy or any other phone?

What do you mean? I just unlocked GV by paying $3 and port out to FI. It worked.

As an alternative:
I also got a number from numberbarn port out to Fi and it worked as well.

Two different ways.

Does this work for an existing customer as well? I see the promo says new and existing customers?
Anyone who is on a promo now bought this? I got the Samsung Note 20 5G last month.

Don't mess around with trying to scam a new phone out of Google. Your phone will be black listed and will have bad ESN. Lots of those phone available on eBay. That's what you get to being a smart Alec

That promo also has a 90 day requirement, if you get a new promo before that one completes, then that promo will become invalid. You can however add a new line(which is called adding a new person in FI)

You can check you current promo days remaining by going to Billing -> Fi Savings -> in Progress

How is following the terms of the promo translating into scamming a phone out of Google?
