Finally bit the bullet and ordered S20. I have been very happy with my Pixel 3XL. But
Google downgraded Pixel 5 and there is no deal for Pixel 4XL. So I have to jump on the bandwagon now. How sad!

I compared the specs. Overall, S20 is much better than my P3XL. However, there are a few drawbacks.

1 The screen is longer and narrower. So I am afraid that even the screen shrinked a little from 6.3 to 6.2, the viewable area can become a lot smaller?

2 There is only one front camera now.

3 P3XL has great fingerprint scanner. Not sure how onscreen one works. I dislike face ID a lot. So this is important for me.

4 Don't know whether the stereo speakers are as good as P3XL.

Other than these, it is all good!

I thought this would stop the 90 day count,
Based on a previous Google Fi deal thread, one poster made a comment that he has done identical deals multiple times, where he activated the Fi SIM with service then used other SIM in the Fi phone without issues. The main sticking point it seems is to not put the Fi SIM in another phone, so pretty much activate the Fi SIM in the Fi phone, then the Fi SIM can be removed, but simply cannot be used in another phone because if you do then the Fi SIM will connect to Google and their system will see that the Fi SIM and phone no longer matched what you purchased and break the deal.

That being said, this is a risk I'm willing to take. I am not waiting 90 days. If this is too risky for you, either don't jump on this deal or just wait out the 90 days with the Fi SIM in the Fi phone.

1 - It is likely that the viewable area will be larger since there are more pixels on the top and the bottom. The size of elements on the screen may decrease by a small amount.
3 - Expect it to be worse. If the fingerprint reader on the 3 XL is anything like the one on the 3a XL it is fast and nearly perfect accuracy wise. The in-screen readers haven't reached that level yet.

thank you.

Uggh, I guess I will give it a try, unless someone already knows whether it works or not.

Sprint merged with TMobile, so does Tello also use TMobile network?
I am wondering about the same thing

Ordered two Galaxy s20s as add new person to be sure. Porting number from numberbarn.

I still have 13 days on my Pixel 4a 5g deal. Here is what I did:

Buy 4a 5g: $320 (with tax)
Number barn: $7
trade in cracked Galaxy s8: -$320
pay two months: $46
Referral credit -$40
Galaxy S20: $424
number barn:$7
3 months service: $70

Planning to sell 4a 5g: $350+

If everything goes planned upgrade from Cracked screen S8 to s20 would end up costing $164 out of pocket. I think it is not bad.

According to this Tello will be moving their customers to GSM in batches. So I am assuming that it won't have compatibility issues. This helped me pull the trigger...

I wonder if Tello will be sending GSM sims to existing customers if swapping phones.

I found an S10 on amazon, that I will be returning because of this deal.

I hope I can use the same sim I requested for the S10 on the S20

Nope. The Trade-in values have significantly dropped and cracked S8 Screen no go.

for Ultra, they have same ram. But for base model, s20 has 12G and s21 has only 8.
S20 5G for Verizon has 8 GB RAM

The resolution is dropping? That sucks.
Maybe the maximum resolution would depend upon refresh rate settings. Let's wait until Jan 14.
S21 5G looks like a dud compared to S20, if the rumors are true.
The Ultra model is too expensive.
