this deal is better for masses with no trade-in required.
This is true for S20 in this thread with $600 off now. Thanksgivings deal was better for Note20 with $500 off + inflated trade-in. I upgraded my Note 8 to Note20 for $150 net.

Not sure if this will work in conjunction with the S20 promo?

I have the S20 since it was launched. I traded in my S10 and along with selling the Buds+ that came with it I was like $130 ish out of pocket. The S20 was a major upgrade and my previous upgrades from S8, S9 to S10 did not feel as great as going from S20 from S10.

I got 5G, 120 Hz refresh rate, 240 hz touch, One UI with Android 11, the cameras are significantly better than the S10 (12 tp 64 mpx), flatter display compared to the S20.
I just sold it on Facebook for $600 and bought this from Google and I am plannig on trading it in for $700 for the S21 if it would have a microSD card.
If samsung starts fooling around and skips the microSD card solt then I am inclined in buying a One Plus phone or just continue with the S20.

I did the previous Fi deal and traded in an ciricket iphone 8 for the Pixel 4a 5G but man that phone feels so cheap because of the plastic body and super light weight, reminds me of the Moto G4 when it came out. I mean the Pixel 4 had such a nice heft to it, not too heavy but did not feel cheap either. I was inclined on the Pixel 5 but the smaller screen higher price tag and marginally better build quality (still feels cheap) made me skip it altogther.
In my opinion whoever bought this phone, you will be very happy, you cant find a brand new flaghship phone like the S20 for $400+ 60 anywhere.

The S20 Fan Edition was my favourte phone but it is not getting the software updates as fast as the regular s20 series.S20 FE is still on One UI 2.5 and Android 10 but the S20 is already on One UI 3 and Andorid 11.

I'm considering getting this deal, and like you I might also get a new OnePlus model when it's launched later in the year. I'm using a OP 7Pro but few months ago the screen cracked. Though it doesn't impact my usage much, it just doesn't sit right with me. I want a smaller phone and the S20 does feel very nice in hand when I tried it in store. However the biggest drawback that keeps me from pulling the trigger is its lack of dual sim. I keep my oversea number in the 7pro all the time and it's really convenient.
Question for you: How much do you expect OnePlus will offer for the S20 trade in when the new OP9 is launched? Do you think it will reach the $5xx range? If so then it would be easier for me to get this deal and still be flexible down the road in case I wanna rejoin OnePlus.

I'm in the exact same boat. I have an S10 and ordered this, because if the S21 doesn't have an SD slot it doesn't get my business. Did you notice less battery life on the S20 though, compared to the S10?

I would say battery life is similar. Turning off 5g , high refresh rate and enabling power saving mode i can get a day with heavy usage. Battery life is the weakest point for Samsung

Ordered the Note 20 Ultra 5G (128Gb Mystic Bronze). Transferring my current Google Fi account from a Note 9 (Unlocked-512GB Cloud Silver). Peace
The $155 trade-in value is a joke.

Anyone know how much is the activation fee?

I am planning to plug my visible sim to S20 from Fi after activation, and keep Fi sim onto my old pixel 1 for 90 days to be eligible for 600 discount. Anyone has idea if this works or not?

No, as stated previously in the thread, if you put the Fi sim in a phone other than the one attached to the promo, you will be disqualified from the promo and they will charge you the remaining $600. Some people have said that you can take the Fi sim out after activating and put in your other sim into the phone, but you cannot put the Fi sim in another phone.

Thanks for the education. That makes sense.
