It didn't even ship with protective plastic on it? I don't think that is normal.
Yes if it is missing the thin clear film, there is something wrong.

Nope, nothing on my phone. The front and rear of the phone is devoid of any protector or plastic wraps which i found to be odd.
That's really odd obviously, but could raise concerns of whether it's a refurb or "renewed" or a return. I've never opened a brand new phone without some. Plastic film on it, even going as far back as flip phones.

Not only should there be a screen protector and an additional plastic film on the front, there should be a plastic film on the back which is normal, but on the past few samsung phones I've had, there was also some very thing plastic film on the sides and tops and bottoms of the phone. So the entire phone should pretty much have some kind of clear film on it on every single side.

Even given all of that, I'd recommend a non-glass screen protector. Since the edges are curved, a non-glass protector will adhere and be flexible to contour to the edges without bubbles or peeling after applying and letting it cure for a day or more. Glass screen protectors also may not play nicely with the ultra sonic finger print scanner.

My order was processed on the 3rd and then this dropped in for 100 bucks more. I'm trying to get that extra 100 off has anyone had any problems with getting that? I just left a bloke named Chetan and he has escalated it but told me it will take 72 hours to get a response via email. I was feeling like they are trying to drag their feet so I would drop off the return window but he confirmed that return window is 14 days. So here's hoping I get it. So weird that they would do a promo and that way. If that normal for GFi ?

The ones I've inserted into have been pretty tight. Just enjoy it.

S21 is a serious downgrade other than battery life and cpu. S20 will probably real world close to the S21 anyways since it has 12gb ram instead of 8 on the 21. Plus SD card slot and better screen. Don't get the S21.

Hate to say this,.. most of you only focus on the skin-deep comparison between S20 and S21 and say S20 is way better... I'm more into the Snapdragon 888 vs 865 and say any phone with 888 is far superior.

It's true the S21 has lower resolution and lack microSD card, but I'll take the difference if it costs $200 less and have a much better internals.

Spec aside, did Samsung not lower the price on the S20 as part of S21 launch? Didn't see much coverage on this topic...
Except the S20 has 12gb RAM vs 8gb on the 21. I expect real world use to be similar, but you lose too much on the 21.

Yep. Mentioned this in the s21 thread for fi also. Not sure how long sammy will support the magnetic stripe technology that they've been using since forever but I hope they support it for as long as possible until every credit card reader can take NFC. The biggest advantage and magical features of sammy phones has always been sam pay because it'll work virtually anywhere. I've yet to have it fail. There's times it'll take an extra try such as walmart but I've had a good time walking away with a smirk after paying wirelessly, after the cashier say "we don't take apple pay"

You're doing this with google right? You can cancel the order before it goes to the warehouse, which I don't think any of these have yet.
