Not only should there be a screen protector and an additional plastic film on the front, there should be a plastic film on the back which is normal, but on the past few samsung phones I've had, there was also some very thing plastic film on the sides and tops and bottoms of the phone. So the entire phone should pretty much have some kind of clear film on it on every single side.
Even given all of that, I'd recommend a non-glass screen protector. Since the edges are curved, a non-glass protector will adhere and be flexible to contour to the edges without bubbles or peeling after applying and letting it cure for a day or more. Glass screen protectors also may not play nicely with the ultra sonic finger print scanner.

It's true the S21 has lower resolution and lack microSD card, but I'll take the difference if it costs $200 less and have a much better internals.
Spec aside, did Samsung not lower the price on the S20 as part of S21 launch? Didn't see much coverage on this topic...
