Fi creditt pending that will be available in less than 30 days. Google Fi charges your card 10 days after billing no matter what.
But seriously, probably when the S21 comes out
Currently I am using a unlocked phone with pre-paid SIM. I am planning to buy S20 phone and port my existing number to google Fi. But I have following questions.
1. After using google Fi number for 3 months can I port back to my existing pre-paid network?
2. How much do I need to Pay for S20?
3. How many months rental I should be paying before I port back to my existing pre-paid network?
4. What is the minimum monthly plan?
Is anything I am missing here?
thanks in advance

2. $600 + tax
3. what rental? I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. The phone is yours as long as you don't put in the fi sim on another phone.
4. $20 + tax, no data. $10/gb otherwise maxes out at $60 I believe.

Can I order these and before completion of the 3mo period, use these phones to trade up to S21 on the Samsung site? Ofcourse I'll keep the sim in a drawer - untouched.
Has anybody tried anything this stupid? My hope is that with Samsung's latest Tmobile offer, I can get the S21 for free with all the accessory credit. Don't want to do the Fi S21 deal because it's a credit.

What I mean by rental is, minimum how many months google fi plan I should use to port back to my pre-paid network? Will there be any charges for it?

You need to keep the plan active for at least 90 days. This will cost you $20/month + any data charges + taxes and fees. You are looking at another $75 or so BEFORE any data charges.
No charges to port your number back to your pre-paid carrier after the 90-day period. If you do it before, you will get $600 charged.

I understand that I have to keep Google Fi for 90 days, is there any problem for me to trade in this S20 for S21 at Samsung immediately (after activation of course)?
Is the old phone "the S20 you got from Google Fi", or just another phone?
Looks to me :
1. Never never put Google Fi SIM in another phone, this will incur $600 charge, correct?
2. If you trade in S20 for S21 (before 90 days), you may or may not get $600 charge. They may or may not find it.

I will turn off the mobile data on the S20 off so I can avoid the extremely overpriced data.
This way I can use the new phone 90 days & not risk voiding the promo.
For the other questions I'm not sure. I bet when you trade in they put a sim in the phone to make sure it can receive signal & make calls.
I'm not sure how google tracks if the phone is on another provider.
The people that have sim swapped, Haven't replied to this thread. I'm guessing it didn't go well for them

trade in S20
leave google fi SIM card in a drawer (I guess)
use my S21 on my existing Tmobile SIM.
cancel google fi after 90 days
