Wow great deal. You could use the S20 as a stepping stone to the S21 by trading it in next year. You may even get more than $400 trade in credit.

Can someone confirm if it's normal step 5 of Fi savings disappears? Yesterday I saw keep service for 90 days in step 5 but thats gone
I haven't seen mine disappear... I think as long as you still have the $600 off in progress, you should be good and as long as you didn't put the sim on another phone

I don't think that is normal.

I will say that the page is very odd. I find navigating away and coming back often doesn't update it. I have to actually hit the refresh button to get an update.

I would say that doesn't works anymore as some people have been hit with Full Cost for Activating & Swapping Sims. No they didn't put the FI sim in another phone.

Most of the people that have purchased & swapped sims haven't came back to update us. So I don't think it turned out well for them.

I think it's too early to tell.

and there is NO WAY fi will know you put in another sim if you reset the phone and not installed the fi ap.

Having said that, I'm playing it safe and keeping it in. $600 is too big a risk.

I'd just ordered it 24 hr ago and phone is not even shipped yet. Yesterday step 5 was in faded color but today it's completely gone.

count down does NOT start until you activate, so that doesn't matter I guess, since you most likely haven't activated it

I get that. Just found it odd that there was step 5 with 90 count down and it's gone today.

For me that didn't show up at all until I had activated. I think the weird thing is that it showed it to you to begin with.

Not true, I used to work for Verizon they definitely can tell you are using another sim in the phone.

Especially FI they use multiple compaines to provide FI service.

When you swap a sim, the new network register's the IMEI, Now imagine FI is using T Mobile to provide service in your area.

your main service provider is T Mobile, Now they see you are on T Mobile Network without going threw FI.

They definitely have other ways to know because multiple people have been reporting it no longer works since they made changes to the TOS .Maybe a small percentage will slip threw the cracks.

So you are saying simply because Fi uses T Mobile's network, they automatically get every single device's IMEI info that connected to T Mobile's network? I find that a bit hard to believe...
What about att? Does Fi use their network too? If not can Fi still know when a Fi device connect to att?
At least until now my countdown is still going. Fingers crossed.

If that's the case, they screwed up on processing the orders.

I ordered on 1/10 and received my phone!

ordered on 1/7 and still don't have it. Agree with everyone, customer service is a joke.

Is there any consensus yet what would happen in the case of trading in a phone to Samsung that has promo time left on it, but keeping the line active until after 91 days and not putting the sim in another device?

Yes/No, I'm sure they only are checking specific IMEI Numbers, It's similar to the way IMEI Blacklist works all compaines have access to the list but sometimes you can use a blacklisted phone for months before it caught by the carrier. FI may be scanning IMEI threw the networks they work with to check for violators.

This only started to be an issue with the new TOS. I'm sure leaving the FI app installed they can see the sim is swapped, Removing the app I believe they have starting to ping the phones & if the phone doesn't ping back so many times they just void the promo.

it's all risk right now.

No. There is no consensus.

Some believe it will work, others think it will void the promo.

Can you link to some of the reports of people having it not work? I did swap my SIM but I am still in the return window. I may just return it if there is a significant chance it will void the promo.
