Have this shredder, bought from Amazon. Absolute crap. Starts struggling at 4-6 sheets, not sure it can do 8. The auto function does not work anymore, think it got burnt out. Have to turn it off after every run. The handle design is not very ergonomic to pull out from the bin. Have to clutch by two very small slits on the side.

It's actually been between $32 and $36 the last 3 months. Before October is was in the $40s+. Take that information as you will.

I don't have this shredder. But I have gone thru many 8 sheet shredders. Years ago on SD this was an offer for 5 free 8 sheet shredders and they are all dead distant memories.

Last year at Office Depot they had a 12 sheet shredder on clearance. The retail price was $150+ and I got it for $30. What a world of difference from 8 to 12 sheets. I only shred at most 2 pages at a time. Yet every 8 sheet shredder struggled within a few weeks to shred 1 sheet. The 12 sheet shredder never struggles.

I have one and never had any major issues, but then again I don't shred more than 4 sheets and routinely clean and lubricate

This shredder is junk. I have an identical one that is microcut, but the rest looks to be the same. Struggles on more than a few sheets and my auto function has also stopped working. It went to the trash.

Just bought this and its a much better product. No reason to buy a cross cut shredder now days when microcut isn't much more. 12 sheets. 30 minute runtime. Microcut. Slideout waste basket. Built in cooling fan. Quieter. 12 sheets for $53 is a solid price.

It works fine. I've never run it long enough for the runtime protection to kick in though. No experience with this one.

I have this shredder- it's definitely not the best.
It can handle shredding a few regular sheets of paper at a time, maybe like 6- but the only real reason I have a shredder is to destroy mail from credit card companies and other stuff like that. It really struggles shredding tri-folded paper in an envelope and can barely destroy the little cardboard cards they slip inside now.

If you don't have any shredder it's better than nothing, but I'm sure there are better shredders than this one for the price.
