I just bought this and pair it with Klipsch r12w sub from Costco. They sound great. Any suggestions on crossover frequency for the set ?
The low frequency listed on these are 809's - 37Hz, the 801- 76Hz and 83-65Hz

In general you can start with 809 at 50-60,801 at 90-100 and 83 at 80. Crossover you can try 100 but I would suggest 110-120.

Most people would set them to small with a sub but that is all a preference. At this level of speakers I would suggest all small.

RC will take into consideration many things including room characteristics so those settings will most likely be different.

It will ultimately comes down to your sound preference so there is no right or wrong, don't be afraid change the settings to your liking.

Hope this helps good luck

Any recommendation for a sub and receiver?

I picked up the Klipsch 12" wireless sub that was a front page deal recently and am pretty happy with it. I also got a Denon AVR-S750H refurbished from a site called accessories4less for $400 shipped, and the Atmos speakers from Crutchfield. I'm more than happy with the investment! The tidal Hi-Fi deal the other day actually made a pretty nice difference compared to YouTube music I was using before in sound quality. I'm even happier now. I'd recommend these to anyone I know

I recently ordered from adorama and the box for tall speakers came in damaged and they forgot to send me screws. I tried to find something similar at Home Depot and Lowe's but it's hard to find screw.
Customer service is not great. It's been more than 3 days still no idea of when they will send me screws.

Did you check to see if they were taped to a weird place on the styrofoam? I thought they didn't send me screws either but I did eventually stumble across them with cleaning up the packaging.

Im considering get this but I'm also considering a sound bar set up. I have a 5.1 46inch vizio sound bar system but I have little kids and they destroyed the sub.

I was looking at an all in one system because the more stuff I have the more they can destroy. So i was looking at the sonos arc and just a simple 2.1(or 3.1) system. But a good sound bar costs like 800+.

Which leads me to this, it would be about the same price to get a much higher quality system like these speakers and a receiver.

Main problem i have with this is i dont want to run wire through my ceiling. I'm not even sure we can as the floor is solid spanish tile and wall behind the tv is solid rock. So i would have a wire dangling up to the ceiling unless we just put the receiver in ceiling.

And while writing this out, i came to the conclusion that i would have to rearrange my entire living room and still have to run wire through my ceiling in order to get these to work even though these make more economic sense. Looks like I'm spending 800 on a sound bar.

Disliked the sound of the jamo s807 for music. They were fine for HT use.

I bought these and had buyers remorse. Adorama doesn't have a very friendly return policy. I will ONLY buy from those with generous return policies from now on.

Lol funny how sometimes you answer your own question 😜

With kids that you worry about damaging things and soundbars are not near the top of the quality chain(especially at $800) and even if you believed they were how often would you actually be able to take advantage of it?

Taking that in mind I would ask. do you really "need" a new $800 one?

I would suggest looking for slightly older model open box or maybe buying used.

Would save you a lot more money and the money you save, you start a budget for a future HT setup you can take advantage of when your kids are older and appreciate with you.

You add to it when you can, be surprised how quickly you can build a good size budget.

Here is a cheaper/better option for you:

Just scroll right past it,don't click on it & respond like you do ALL the other items on "front page" you are not interested in !!!! 🤔

You are welcome 👍🏻

Just set up a 3.1 system instead of 5.1 It'll still sound way better than a sound bar.

+1 for the Dayton Audio for a sub. I purchased the 12" version about 8 years ago upon the advice from someone on here and after reading the stellar reviews I purchased. We have it in our theater room and it will shake the entire room (if you are in to that kind of thing). It makes music and movies come to life. I figured it would go bad long before now but it hasn't...when it does, I will gladly buy another one. I imagine it would be difficult to beat for less than $200. My 2 cents...

Anyone know how these compare to monitor 60s, 40s and a CS2?

I prefer these to the Polk Monitor and TSI series. They are quite nice sounding.
I bought this set with the 10" sub. It replaced a TSI 3.1.2 setup. The Polk felt cold in comparison. Warm balanced sound, punchy bass and bright highs.

I ran the 801s bridged with 809s (look kinda nice sitting on top, added some punch to movies and music and pulls a 4ohm load to get a bit more juice from my AVR. I run 3.2.2 for movies and 2.2 for music off Yamaha TSR-700.
