Note that the LG V60 is intended as a flagship from LG whereas the A71 is intended as a mid-range phone from Samsung. However, the A71 swings well-above its price point. As such this comparison suggests that the LG V60 is (unfortunately for LG) probably priced correctly if you're shopping it against the A71.
The LG V60 will beat the A71 marginally on a number of specifications that likely won't matter to the average user (screen size, resolution, CPU). The LG V60 does have wireless charging, which was omitted on the A71. Beyond that you're likely picking one of these based upon the solid reputation of Samsung in the smartphone space or... choosing the LG because it is discounted.
I got the last unit from Costco in Fremont, CA on 1/15/2021, seems like deal is still alive.
I did call ahead and ask the sales at the kiosk first.
I plan to trade this phone in for the S21 on 1/29/2021, hope T-Mobile will allow that.

Was it upfront $249.99 or do you have to submit anything for a rebate? Did you see if Costco had any other offers going on right now (like for the S21?)? Also since Costco phones are paid outright with no monthly payment and if there is no rebate involved then yeah it should be fine and easy to trade in for the $800 off S21.

It's upfront, $250+tax, no rebate, no new line required. Costco do have buy 1get 1 free with new line available, up to $800.
Just picked one up this morning for 249.99. There will be a placard showing it's 249.99. It said the promotion runs till 1/28/2021. Located in City of Industry, CA. Very good phone for the price or if you wanna trade up for a S21 from T mobile in the future.

I was able to snag one from Costco for $250 + tax 1/17/21 yay! The store was 1 hour away but so worth it. They had 4 in stock when I left!
Out of caution, I made sure to use the upgrade I had on LINE #1 to purchase the phone. Next, I used the upgrade I had on LINE #2 to pre-order / trade-in for the S21 free over the 24 months EIP after credits plan.
Every excited about this enormously discounted S21 !
Edit: In case you wonder why I felt the need to perform the "upgrade" operations on 2 separate lines - I was informed by the Costco Wireless Advocates representative that the upgrades can only be done once per line per month / 31 days or whatnot. Better safe than sorry mindset to make sure T-Mobile doesn't reject my trade-in if performed on LINE #1 when it's mailed out beginning of February 2021.
FYI the trade in for this on tmobile is only $241 for S21 not $800 like what the ad is saying. Im not sure but i believe it is only for non tmobile S21 where they'll give you up to $800.
I purchased one at Costco yesterday for the $249.99 price plus taxes out the door. They had three in stock at my store. No catches at all. T-Mobile activated it on one of my existing lines. I have an iPhone 12 Pro and this is going to be my Android phone for my other line. Don't get caught up in the specs, this phone has a bright and beautiful display. It has been working flawlessly and this includes the 5G. I'm really impressed. Plus, it has a headphone jack and micro SD card slot in the SIM tray and an available dual screen case. This phone for 1/5 the price of my iPhone makes me wonder why I would ever pay what I did for a phone.

Because... you refuse to read? Don't want to use data to read the T-Mobile website FAQ for the offer? Here, I've pasted the Q and A for you.

Hmm. Now you have me worried about this. I activated the velvet on my main line. On tmo website I preordered s21 without issue and the trade for velvet came up $241. Hopefully trade in gets registered fine for the bill credits. I guess worst case I call 611 and sort it out.
Part of me actually wants to just keep this velvet as im liking the phone a lot and like the headphones jack and sd card expansion.
I have a 4 line TMobile plan with Netflix included. I would like to leave all that unchanged. Will an "upgrade" make any unwanted changes ?
I just did it on Thursday, 1/28. All they do is just activate the phone. Their process takes a bit but you just sign and it says with their deal you can't buy another phone for 30 days on that line. That's it. Instant discount, pay up front, and they activate your phone. I asked if I could just activate at home and he said they have to activate it there (my first time buying a T-Mobile phone at Costco). So, he activated and I made no further calls or texts until I could transfer all my info over and have it setup.
