Home Depot has the 68qt version (dimensions of 37x18x14inches) for just $2 more:
MSRP on this is $20. I agree with the other comments that it's a bit small. Not sure it adds enough extra value to make it worth 2x the price of a cheap Sterelite tote. Not water/weather/insect resistant. At this price it's probably not really a slick deal.
I was able to order one of the 108qt at the West Niles store 60714 (said one in stock). I tried different stores, including this one, a few times, before it came up at this price. Definitely YMMV but thanks for pointing ot out.
difference between this and those yellow lids with black base for $7 at Costco?
I have been checking out different storage containers for camping gear and other stuff like fishing gear. I had been using Sterilite boxes earlier and once I saw these in store I snatched some up. The quality of these are far better than a Sterilite box at Walmart or Target. Plus, they are more "outdoorsy" and will handle more abuse.
Thicker plastic, a better wrapping lid design (with an overhang), thicker more secure latches. IMO they can be used as seats and since the lids snap tight, and have the deeper overhang - no need to worry in rain situations.

Are you talking about the same boxes that he's referring to? I think he's referring to these, https://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-2...205978361, which I thought were significantly better than Sterilite boxes as well. I have one of the HDX Tough boxes (or maybe it was the Lowes branded ones) that I keep some of my fishing gear in - it works great and is pretty rugged.
Found army green of 108qt for 19.99, while black ones are 29.99 at Home Depot in DFW area. However... went to Academy Sports and located a black one for 24.99.
