Update: No issue price matching in store at Best Buy, they did need a manager override, but they put it right through.
Plus I had $5 in rewards!
It looks like a good introduction to your standard fare of RPGs, so it probably depends on whether you want them playing Final Fantasy in a couple years.
The teen rating is pretty lightweight, imo: Cartoon violence, mild language (guessing a "damn" would probably be the worst of it), and suggestive themes.

I am enjoying it quite a bit. The storyline isn't that deep. The dialogue is funny. If you're into fighting for loot, this might be something you'll like.
Considering this for the family to all play together. Think an 8 year old could handle it?

It's not. Dialogue is borderline cringefest. I got it last month and only put a few hours into it and realized the game wasn't for me. Online is dead and the gameplay is too simplistic. I love level 5 but this isn't a game I'd recommend.

Just FYI - Best Buy chat refused price match. Claimed it was a different product. I may try in-store later.

Yes! I think your 8 year old can handle it. My daughter is 9 and she loves playing it. If you want to co-op, you'll need more than one copy.
