What you are looking for are speakers which are powered (but not battery powered), such as computer speakers or many soundbars. Otherwise, non-powered speakers like the ones listed will need a separate amplifier (receiver) to power them.
Think of speakers as light bulbs and amps as lamps. Sometimes lamps have bulbs built in, like computer speakers have amps (the inverse). Typically though, they do not.
One more thing... you are correct if you are thinking there is an amp in your tv, but that only amplifies the built-in tv speakers, not external ones.

Good deal. We bought these July 2020 direct from pioneer on sale for $99. We don't use them much, only in the sunroom to listen to vinyls mostly, but now that they're broken in they sound great for $100.. or less! would def recommend at this price
For what it's worth, Newegg also has the
$79 Pioneer SP-T22A-LR Dolby Atmos Enabled Add-On Speakers Pair
$134 Pioneer SP-BS22A-LR Compact Speakers for Dolby Atmos Designed by Andrew Jones (Pair)
$59 Pioneer SP-C22 Andrew Jones Designed Center Channel Speaker Single
Better than the Woot deal pricing with free shipping!
Those Sony SSCS5 at 73 were killer, I wonder how these compare.
I bought the CS5 when they were going for $73. Both the bs22 and cs5 are very good speakers for less than $100 when on sale. Amazing speakers for such as a small cost.
The cs5 are the better speakers. For more bass you need a sub especially for movies.
Both are are real good speakers.
Based upon what I've read my impression is that the BS22-LR is more balanced, neutral and the Sony's have a more pronounced top end. I dont' have either but I do have experience with a neutral Andrew Jones speaker (Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2) and have been more than happy with the neutral, balanced sound signature.
These speakers are a specific thing. They have small woofers, big dome tweeters, and a ridiculously high quality crossover because Mr Jones said so. If you pair them up with the right amplifier they sound like 500 dollar bookshelves. If not they sound muddy or missing something. The amp doesn't have to be expensive just right. I have them hooked to a twenty dollar T Amp.

Could you link your amp? I would love to know which one you are mentioning

You'll need a system to connect to the TV such as a Receiver
